The Right don't want to completely lose the Muslim bloc. They know they'll need that bloc when the fight morphs into Abrahamic creeds vs. all else [just like how the 70s-80s merged Catholics, or all the "Judeo-Christian values" talk for the past 20 years] when it comes down to it.

Nah, it's simpler than that. Even as everything comes down to theocratic electoral cynicism with the GOP, the real reason for this is merely because other Americans have become a juicier target for right wing culture wars since Trump took office.

Though to be fair, obviously the significantly declined influence of both Al-Qaeda and ISIS are integral factors too.

2015 had the ISIS attacks in Paris, while not in the US that was shocking and horrifying enough to have a 9/11-like effect worldwide. We haven't had a comparable terrorist attack since then. And ISIS is effectively militarily defeated, and al-Qaeda has been a shell of itself that most Americans quit caring about after bin Laden was killed. So it's just not a particularly relevant issue at this time.

Just wait till another shooting like Pulse or San Bernadino and you'll see just how hard and fast the new far-right jumps on it.

More like 2001-2016

We've just moved on, as other things have become much more important.

The culture war issues have kind of replaced Islamic terrorism as fearmongering tactic for the right-wing. Especially "wokeism", "CRT" and abortion.

It moved on to boring stuff like shootings and people being run over with U-Haul trucks, which we were already doing to ourselves by the thousands every year anyways.

That is, not in any countries Americans are paying much attention to nowadays.

Although abortion sounds more like a liability tbh

Eight years ago the Islamic State used to control about half of Syria and significant portions of north-western Iraq. But then they received quite an ass-kicking.

Then COVID happened, and then Ukraine.

It shows how successful we have been in suppressing the threat it poses to the United States since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.  Though I do worry about its growing strength in Africa, especially West Africa and Mozambique.

It's gone unspoken thus far so I feel the need to raise the point: a substantial reason that Republicans and Republican media were obsessed with "radical Islamic terrorism" in 2015 was because they were pandering to birthers who thought Obama was a secret Muslim.

Not saying that's the only factor, far from it, but it played a role and we should not be ignorant of that.

Al-Qaeda is decapitated and ISIS isn't what it was, while the focus since the Obama administration's Pivot to Asia and Trump's 2016 campaign has largely been on China where Uyghur Muslims are seen as potential allies, but there was some good discussion on the end of the immediate post-9/11 paranoia here: https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=494531.msg8610122#msg8610122
