The big risk is he drags down DeFoor, Garrity, the AG race and of course PA-07 and PA-08, but away we go!

LMAO, the Republican base just doesn't care about winning, don't they? Nominate the wacko that already lost in a landslide in a neutral midterm year. And they're going to do that in Arizona as well.

However, it's not like the other two options are much better. McCormick is an out-of-touch hedgefund guy who's easy to attack and Barnette a conspiracy lunatic.

Congratulations on your reelection, Senator Casey.

I hate the party the demands women to show police proof of rape to get an abortion exception, nominates white supremacists, guts taxes for the 0.0001%, ignores climate change, and wants to raise the retirement age to 75. I am a Republican.

Conversely, the only time I love it is when it looks poised to do self-defeating s*** like this.

Unless you start fighting back the crazies instead of trying to appease them, no.

As long as those people lose the general election, as they mostly did in 2022, I guess so. Clearly no lessons were learned.

Why does the PA GOP bench suck so much?
They seem to have the same problem as the MN GOP, in that in their safe areas they nominate candidates that are either 1-absolute crazies or 2-the sort of boring and charisma-less types who can get back in a safe district or 3-both of the above (example: Mastriano) and while those candidates can still win because they're in safe areas it makes them entire nonstarters for statewide office.

Republicans act like they don't have to win elections. That's never a good sign for a party.

I love how the Doomer take has shifted from "Mastriano will likely win, you people happy he was nominated are so foolish!" to "Mastriano will never be nominated again."

McCormick is the clear strongest and competent choice here, so of course, the GOP is going to nominate the lunatic instead. Classic.

Biden name unlike in 22 midterm is back in the ballot so you can see upsets in FL, TX and MO and Ds don't have to divert so much to none incumbency Demings, Ryan and Beasley would have been best off in 24 like Brown, Kunce and Boswell gonna be Shontel Brown has endorsed Boswell in FL and win either MT or WV

Kunce and Brown especially and Tester are gonna get plenty of online Donations and Bob Casey and Baldwin and Rosen and Slotkin

Jay Ashcroft, Morrisey, and Gianforte will easily get elected split voting like in KY, MS, NC AND LA G
