Such a shame. I like the Hoover Building: both its design and its prime location.
At the agency I work at, we have about 4-5 leased office floors/buildings in the downtown DC core (and even more in NoVa, from the Pentagon down to Springfield) and the Federal move to permanent telework/suburban flight has gotten so bad that I pretty much have free rein to go to any of these downtown locations to work at for the day--for whatever reason if I felt like--and pick any random conference room or touchdown space since they are 90% empty. And because I have my work laptop + CAC credentials, I get automatically signed into the network.
I occasionally do that because there's a "secret" conference room I like to utilize in one of our offices just 2 blocks away from Metro Center where I have 3 ginormous jumbotron monitors. When I'm working on a project where my puny little laptop screen won't do.
