Feeling fortunate/thankful for being American is sensible. Being proud of being born somewhere is pretty dumb.

I am proud of my great grandparents who left everything behind to come here with nothing, not even knowing the language, and that has allowed me to be an American. I wish I could have met them.

I am proud of my grandfather who fought and endured months in German captivity during WW2. I wish I could have gotten to know him better.

Yup, I am.

That said, it doesn't mean America is perfect and we're superior to all others in all categories. I'm for a healthy patriotism, not nationalism or thinking in "superior categories".

As my Poli Sci 101 Teacher said it's equality at the same time as inequality we aren't gonna have an equal economy until Ds establish reparations because it's called inheritance wealth by white Americans that have 150K and 500M dollar homes and Blks whom have 24K and 150K homes and whites Doctors or Lawyers due to hand me downs and Blks become Store Managers at Walmart or Saloon Barber or Beautician


There are some that make it my cuz is a lawyer thru the military and my sisters boy friend is a recruiter in the military hut that's thru the military it's not thru natural means where whites don't have to go thru military and basic training as I went thru ROTC is very tough that's why there aren't many blk border patrol or FBI agents
