More glad than proud. I was born here so I didn't do anything to achieve it.

Eh, not really.

The only time I'm really "proud" to be an American is during the Olympics and other international sporting events. That's when I turn into Captain America lol. Also, making (lighthearted) jokes about the British online.

Otherwise, meh. I am privileged to have been born in the United States but this country could and should be much better than it is.

No, as it wasn’t a choice I made.

I am, however, glad to be an American, and I consider it to be one of the best privileges I have.

No. I could say any number of things that would risk me getting banned, though, so I won't say anymore.

I won't say that I'm proud to be an American, but I'm certainly lucky to be an American. I don't think it makes sense to say that you're "proud" over something over which I had no control.

I'm proud of the good things we've done as a people and as a country. I am ashamed of the terrible things we have done as a people and as a country. And I am sad and angry and frustrated and more because I believe that right now we could be making much better collective choices than we are.

I think the idea that anyone should be proud of having the good fortune to be born in one of the more successful countries in humanity's known experience is somewhere between disgusting and laughable. (I respect immigrants who have worked hard to become American citizens, who do have every right to be proud of what they have done.)

I think this is the only rational feeling to have. We certainly have our problems for sure, but in comparison to most other countries, we have it made.

I do not find pride in being born and a citizen of a psarticular country since that involved no action or accomplishment on my part. The closest to pride would be that I dislike it when people make constant criticisms about the country and culture. But that is minor, criticism of my hometown are far worse.

As Jean Shaheen said in 2008 we need a new Economic Direction we have low unemployment but it doesn't benefit 65M in poverty if we give reparations it will get so many people out of poverty l, Voting Rights and raise the minimum wage

That's was the theme in 2006(2008 as well but as you know we got rid of the Judicial Filibuster but not Legislatures

It's a reoccurring theme because the economy still doesn't benefit 65M and everyone wants to win the lottery but it doesn't happen as you expect, lottery isn't instant gratification unless you can win 500 on Pick 3/4 not millionaire

Definitely not. I've never even been to America, so I couldn't possibly be an American.

I'm proud of and appreciate all the liberties and rights I have in the US that so many others around the world don't enjoy, though I keep in perspective that many of these freedoms come with a variety of pre-conditions (my socio-economic class, my opportunities, etc.).

That doesn't mean I'm blanket "I love and support anything and everything America!!!" because there's many things wrong with this country.

The offer to pay for your deportation flight to China still stands.
