Could be a huge development if this endures, with how much of a diplomatic coup this is for China not being insignificant in its own right.

It’s so great to see Global South connecting and getting closer after years of Western “divide and conquer” tactics. Iran + Saudi Arabia, mediated by China. Peace being constructed by the South itself.
The global south does have its internal differences, some are more liberal while others are more illiberal, the cultures can be extremely different, some even have conflicts between them. But despite all that we still share more similarities between ourselves than with the Global North because of our economic background and interests.
Until the current economic world order is broken in pieces so that anyone can have the opportunity of reaching their aspirations, we need this South-South cooperation to keep building momentum. The Ukraine war triggered the perfect opportunity to shake and shatter Northern influence so that a new world order can be established.
The fake West-East divide on social issues is obsolete as economic issues take more and more protagonist and evidence the real global divide being North/South.
