Like, stop talking about Fox News.

It's a right wing news channel since 1996, that's their news, that is how they operate.

If someone is watching Fox around you, don't change the channel from them, keep it moving.

Conservatives don't care about MSNBC, CNN they are disappointed into what the station is now. In 1999, conservatives were still watching CNN. They had Robert Novak and Tucker Carlson there, etc.

They do care. Trump literally accused one of their big name hosts of murder. If MSNBC wasn't living rent-free in their heads, who otherwise would do that?

I don't give a damn about Fox News being a partisan outlet. I *do* object to them giving platforms to white nationalists and eliminationist anti-LGBT rhetoric.

And no, the idea that Republicans didn't mind CNN in the 90s is laughable. They literally nicknamed it the Clinton News Network.

Don't worry help is on the way. The ratings for all of cable news is declining, and the percentage of the population that watch it is just a tiny percentage of the population anyway. One hopes receivership is not that many years away.

"For full day ratings, Fox News easily won the month with an average total audience of 1.437 million viewers (down 14% from one year ago), followed by MSNBC (711,000 viewers, down just 1%) and CNN (474,000 viewers, down 24%). In the key demo, Fox News finished first with 189,000 viewers (down 35% from a year ago), followed by CNN (89,000 viewers, down 41%) and MSNBC (80,000 viewers, down 6%)."

So-called "neutral" news sources, like the NYT, are considerably worse. At least most people recognize that Fox News is right-wing propaganda at this point. But the NYT publishes what are essentially pro-GOP press releases as "hard news" and gets praised for it.

Well, yes the far right nutjobs would call CNN that, yes, but they were still Republicans on the network.

I've never charged anyone rent for thinking about them. I can think about whatever I want to.

The left will focus on right wing news, the right will focus on left wing news. Things are weird that way!

Tucker Carlson isn't "news", since this would require a reporting of facts. It's fiction. What do you call fiction that is deliberately biased in favour of a specific political ideology?
