Blue is GOP
Green is D to R
Red is R to D except for DC and HI which are D
The rest are grey because they don't fit into any of those categories.
The map is based on all POTUS elections from 1856 to 2020.
This is based on my arbitrary analysis.

I don't like to bump my own threads, but I like maps in general, and I think that this map is interesting in terms of the history of elections.

No blue Indiana is kind of surprising.
Indiana used to be among the premier swing states of the country. Since this goes back to 1856, I guess that's not surprising that it's not blue on this map.
