If you're a trans youth, or the parent/family member of one, then sadly, yes Sad

Otherwise, of course not. There are plenty of "livable" places all over the state.

I've been in every county in MS. Like most states there are plenty of counties that hold little attraction and others that would be a fine place to stay. I've particularly enjoyed Oxford and there are a number of nice spots along the coast.

We'll never know - I dodged a bullet by getting turned down for a job there.

Like everywhere, depends on where you live.  There are some really nice places along the Gulf Coast.  The Mississippi River Delta and Jackson are not so nice.  Being in the Deep South, the African American areas are usually more disadvantaged, but even that's pretty generalized as there's a lot of rural white poverty too.  Overall, I don't think I would choose to live there, but I don't get the impression from people who live there that it's really any worse than its neighboring states.

When I lived in Jackson, I was able to shop at Whole Foods and Lululemon.  Didn't seem very unlivable to me then (except for the crime, but other cities/states have that problem, too.)

yes, that is the nature of life is that it is unlivable, we all die someday

On a cobweb afternoon
In a room full of emptiness
By a freeway I confess
I was lost in the pages
Of a book full of death
Reading how we'll die alone
And if we're good, we'll lay to rest
Anywhere we want to go
