This message is designed to serve as a public service announcement of what should be happening this month. While there are no regular elections in March, we have ended up stepping into numerous special elections and referendums.

Here is a schedule of what each region should be conducting each week.

Beginning on March 10th

Special Election for Lincoln Governor (Replaces Tack)
Special Election for Lincoln General Court (Replaces Pyro)
Referendum Amendment to the Lincoln Constitution

Additionally, language in the Lincoln and Fremont Constitutions calls for Federal Amendments to be put to a vote on the "second friday" following passage. This should have meant that the Public Health Amendment should be at vote, well, now. Both myself and Scott dropped the ball on that one. After consultation with Scott, we have agreed that both regions will host that beginning on March 10th.

Beginning on March 17th

Special Election for Lincoln General Court (Replaces Chalice)

Additionally, this will mark the second Friday following passage of the Judicial Reform Amendment. Thus, both Lincoln and Fremont will hold votes on the Judicial Reform Amendment beginning on the 17th.

Beginning on March 24th

Southern Greenland Amendment
Language in the Southern Constitution calls for all amendments passing the initial stage by the second friday of any given month to be rolled into the penultimate Friday of that Month. This means that BOTH the Public Health Amendment and the Judicial Reform Amendment will be voted on by the South beginning on the 24th.

-
Additional Note: Due to Laki refusing to swear-in, there will be no special election needed for Northeast Senator, however President Tack will need to nominate another individual to be VP for confirmation by the Senate, which may spur (an) additional special election(s) depending on who is chosen. Stay tuned.

We’re going to have other amendments on the ballot

I look forward to seeing them. If they are passed in the next week they will go to referendum on the 24th, otherwise they will end up getting paired with the April Elections.

Updated after Chalice's resignation. Since the vacancy originated too late for this weekend, it will be filled in a contest beginning on the 17th. In the event that a special to replace Christian Man is also needed, they will be held as one joint STV election from which two candidates are elected. In the event of a joint election, any declaration for "Chalice's Seat", "Christian Man's Seat", or the joint contest in general will be counted as valid.

Why am I at the bottom of the ballot?

* A comes before C
* L comes before P

Please point to the statute that specifies ballot ordering.

Lincoln actually doesn't have a statute on the subject to my knowledge. There is nothing specific to the ordering.

In every other election I've ever witnessed where no statute was present, the standard is "alphabetical".

So logically speaking, there is no rhyme to your reason other than bias. OK then!

As a Lincoln citizen I just want you to do your job properly and not create unnecessary problems. This is ridiculous stuff from Acting Governor Hackfric.

I am not sure how ballot ordering even makes a difference in a world where 80% of people just copy-paste whatever they've been pm'ed and the other 20% are intelligent enough to read the whole ballot, but I have changed the order.

Wimpy Wulfric does what his Labor masters tell him! Wink

I appreciate though that we cleared up this misunderstanding.
