I thought this would be an interesting matchup: Landslide Lyndon (I-GR) vs. BG-NY (L-NYC).

I'd vote for Landslide and think he'd narrowly win.

Easy vote for me for Landslide Lyndon and I do actually think he would win as a Democrat. BG-NY has incredibly reactionary views on immigration but in most other respects lines up with the Democratic Party, I don't know if that would be enough for the Republican base to back him in the ways he would need, especially since Landslide Lyndon has a pretty authentic dislike of the far-left, probably due to being Greek and being an observer of its politics, and would be distinct from other Democrats in that sense too while still being mainstream and appealing enough for the Democratic base overall, and most other voters probably.

I would immensely favor BG-NY personally, and I think he would win a close election.

Landslide would win big, in part because of his very strong dislike of unpopular "woke" factions of the party. These types would likely hold their noses and vote for him.
BG-NY would lose most of the swing vote.
Imo, both candidates would moderate the rhetoric quite a lot in the GE.

What reactionary views do I hold on immigration? My position is:

• Deportations aren’t going to happen. Nor should they happen. Figure out how to make the illegals whole.
• You can control future immigration. Limit inflows, index to unemployment levels and median wages for native-born citizens.
• We should always allow the most talented people to come into the US.
