Eh it’s more of a late Zoomer thing tbf, I just am a bit childish with my videogame preferences.

Hollow Knight. I've played it through 4 times. So, so, so good.

Mount and  Blade II Bannerlord by far

Several of the TW series, as runners up, especially Shogun 2, Warcraft (original)  and Three Kingdoms

Skyrim for sure, and all Fallout from 3 onwards.

Tough to answer, as of now either L.A Noire, BioShock Infinite (sue me) or Black Ops 1 (2010). Minecraft, Gen 3 and 4 pokemon, Stardew are somewhat below that.

Outside of Paradox games, which I've talked about on here, I'd have to say Bloodborne.

Absolute victorian gothic horror perfection and I'll happily buy any PC remake.

I'm probably done playing it and haven't played in several months at least, but GTA V maybe.

I'm not a casual gamer, but I love Life is Strange (and the fan-made canon prequel), with all its quirks, and Red Dead 2. For the latter, it appears to not be the cash cow that GTA is despite being extremely detailed and definitely a contender for best video game ever made.

Good choices. I have to pick up RDR2 again eventually but I've been busy the last few months.

I absolutely adored the first LiS although I haven't played the prequel yet, I've heard it's good. Any opinions on LiS True Colors? I've heard mixed things.

I've only fully played the first game and the prequel. I own the second as well, but the same "magic" definitely isn't there like it was in the original story.

Fallout 4

That's my "stranded on a desert island" game.  (assuming, of course, no internet.   IF internet, then hands down, it would be Elder Scrolls Online).

I wasn't able to sleep so I loaded up the ol' emulator and ran through Metal Gear Solid up to Psycho Mantis. MGS1, 2 and 3 all have a claim at being the best of the series or one of the best games ever made, but the first will always be my personal GOAT. Honourable mention to Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Yup. And Ashly Burch (voice of Chloe in the first game) didn't play her character (except for Farewell) due to a strike, but served as a writing consultant.

Alright so dumb question, how does that work with like... copyright and stuff?

"Fan-made" might not be the right term for it but Dontnod had creative involvement in both games but Deck Nine published BtS. Square Enix, which has the rights to the franchise, opted to let Deck Line make BtS while Dontnod made LiS 2. From what I understand, Dontnod wanted to move on from the original story and it was a mostly different team (sans Burch) involved with the prequel.

Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. The defining games of my childhood.

The feeling and atmosphere of these games is truly unique. I don't know how to describe it, but there is absolutely nothing like it. And I don't mean just being in space or whatever. There's something else to it.

Its interesting that you find both of their atmosphere's similar. I actually like 2 a lot less than 1 because it's atmosphere feels kind of eh in comparison to the first.
