Say McCain went with Lisa Murkowski as his running mate instead of Sarah Palin, how would that effect the race?

Would go terribly as keep in mind in 2008:

- The Murkowski brand was extremely unpopular due to fact that people associated that name with Frank and not Lisa

- Lisa Murkowski was still considered to have been a nepotism pick in 2008 so picking here would end up backfiring . Her 2010 win as a write in candidate significantly improved her brand
