Definitely better, given Reeves' problems: if he wins again, it's by no more than 2%.

Leaning this way.  Governor's races still have a significant nonpartisan component compared to everything else.  Also, his last name could be worth several % of the vote over generic Dem.

Presley does better and I think he could even potentially win this race

GOP is going to lose because he wasn’t primaried, Mississippi will be blue

You're a Republican who believes Reevers is going to lose? That's bold.

I could actually see Reeves lose. I think what did Jim Hood in (other than it being Mississippi) was that he wasn’t running against an unpopular Republican.

Better in Madison/Rankin, DeSoto, and the coast. Worse everywhere else.

Presley is from a rural area not far from where Hood was from, and represents the most Republican-leaning PSC district, I could see him doing better than Hood in many of those rural counties in the northern third of the state.

I think a better question would be: where does Presley do better/worse than Hood? I think he does better in the college counties like Lafayette and Oktibbeha, along with suburbanizing counties like Madison, DeSoto, the Gulf shore counties, and maybe Rankin (a tiny bit).
