Any chance LBR goes for Governor? She'd be the first black woman in history to be Governor. Regardless, either job is hers if she wants it.

So with LBR all but confirmed to be running for this seat, we could very well be getting our first openly Transgender House Representative next year, it was gonna happen eventually, but what shocks me is that it’s going to be from Delaware of all places.

Blunt Rochester will breeze through, obviously.

Eh, Delaware is pretty progressive. It's not like it's Oklahoma or Missouri, though only having one seat in Congress limits the likelihood of a trans person getting to the top of the roster as opposed to a place like California.

Which is why I’m shocked it’s from Delaware and not somewhere that has more seats, Like California or New York.

I'm actually curious, who's the state politician in question and how likely are they to win the democratic primary?

To further this point, the DE GOP's candidate against Chris Coons in 2020 was a QAnon believer.

They can go old school and nominate the witch again.

Sarah McBride. How likely she is to win I don’t know but she is one of the more likely to win it.

If Baraba Lee wins in California next year, we could be looking at three new African-American women in the senate.

Let's go, LBR! Though seeing her as first black female governor would also have been interesting.

What's Carney going to do? He's term limited as Governor and that open Senate seat has got to be tempting.

Hopefully he goes into the private sector. The guy freaking vetoed weed legalization lol, he'd just be another Carper/Coons in the pocket of big insurance.

I'd have to bet there's other names looking at it. I'd watch for Kerri Evelyn Harris, Air Force vet and Carper's 2018 primary challenger. She's in the State House now and is also openly gay.

You can't just call everyone who is not a communist a Republican, just I can't call everyone who is not a fascist a Democrat.

Is there NO Delaware Republican that would be a credible candidate?

Once the witch knocked off Castle that pretty much knocked the GOP out of being relevant in the state.
