Not that this guy has a chance, but this is a really bizzare line of attack. "Oh look at this guy, he's highly-educated, athletic, and has several hobbies. What a loser!"

In a 3 party race we don't know what's gonna happen in Nov 24  Kander had no chance against blunt and it was a 4 party race with Gary Johnson and he got within 3 and you are posting Maga stump speech from Fox news that's being sued for properganda

And Kunce is not necessarily going to be the D nominee. It's okay now to talk about him as if he is the front-runner for the nomination, but there's still plenty of time for someone more electable than Kunce to get into the race.

Not only is this tweet stupid, but it’s just blatantly wrong. George W Bush was a cheerleader at Yale in the 1960s and was a high school cheerleader before that.

Republicans believe that Real Americans are only the racist, sexist, rural rednecks who spend all day in front of a TV, watching Fox News and drinking beers.

You're the kind of person who proves that partisan political prejudice is the only kind of prejudice that is still socially acceptable.

Joe Kennedy, RFK Jr and Bullock and Ryan were all smeared by RS but Newsom is the only D because he is a CA not a red state D not smeared by Fox news, but DeSantis and Hawley are looked up to, that's so silly I am Donating to Kunce, because of what's going on in MT and WV we can wind up with 49 seats if we lose both we gotta see what happens in KY and MS and LA in 23 to see if we stand a chance in 24 in MO, TX and FL and we don't have a Nominee in TX and FL but TX is more winnable Rev Barber says boycott FL because of Disney and Desantis

MO and TX are blk Populated WV and MT don't have Blks in them, Kander came within 3 of Blunt it can happen it's called an upset, we have zero chance in MT, WVA and MO Gov because of Jay Ashcroft they are all running unopposed by Ds

Wesley Bell won his first election as St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney in 2018. First he beat longtime incumbent P.A. Robert McCulloch in the Democratic primary by 103,605 (56.56%) to 79,565 (43.44%). McCulloch had been elected seven consecutive times, usually without any opponents in either the primary or general elections. Then Bell won the general election of 2018 by default because no one else ran for P.A. (there has not been a Republican nominee for St. Louis County P.A. for over 20 years). In 2022, Bell was reelected by having no opponent in the primary, and trouncing a Libertarian opponent in the general election -- 70.69% to 29.31%.

Don't forget one of the most important events of Bell's reign as P.A. was that he spent five months re-investigating the case of Officer Wilson shooting Michael Brown, but that he still ended up coming to the conclusion that there was not enough evidence to charge Officer Wilson with any crime. Is that going to be brought up during the primary campaign next year? Is that info going to help or hurt Bell win votes in the Democratic primary?

It would definitely be an albatross if he were facing a black opponent, but Kunce, can't really bring it up in the primary without looking like he's pandering.

Since Bell himself is Black, it could leave him open to charges of being a race traitor from someone like a Cori Bush (or someone of her ilk), either in the primary, or just in general.,

I'm not working with anybody involved and wasn't last cycle either (a weird feeling for me given that a healthy majority of my work used to be in this state) but it's definitely not going unnoticed how badly the MO Dems don't want Kunce to be their nominee, which is strange considering he's a good fundraiser, good with the media/on TV, and apparently an effective retail politicker. One has to wonder if there's some bad oppo out there, or some other motive.

Nothing is wrong with Wes Bell we are having a D primary we need more blk Senators in the Sen.  That's why Wes Bell can win

Trudy Brusch Valentine didn't win a landslide she won by 5 pts which Wes Bell can win by, the Rs have a Maga v Establishment primary all the time DeSantis v Trump

But Wes Bell does have a black opponent in the primary already. December Harmon was in the race long before Bell announced. She's a black woman from Columbia, and is a member of the Columbia Police Review Board, so she is very likely going to criticize Bell for his decision regarding Officer Wilson.

MO Dems have actually put up some decent candidates as of late statewide despite how hopeless it is for Dems there. Kander, Galloway, Busch Valentine who actually self funded and kept parity with Schmitt.

Does anyone think some term-limited GOP state legislator might try to primary Hawley? (I expect someone will run against him in the primary, but it would be more interesting if that person currently holds, or has previously held, an elective office.)

State Senator Karla May is in.

Quote
Another Democrat is planning to jump into the race to unseat U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley.

State Sen. Karla May, D-St. Louis, told the Mound City Bar Association over the weekend she will run for the U.S. Senate next year. May told St. Louis Public Radio that she would speak to the press about her political future later this week.

May has represented portions of St. Louis and St. Louis County in the Missouri Senate since 2019. Before that, she served for eight years in the state House.

Since joining the Senate, May has played a role in crafting legislation dealing with criminal justice issues. She’s also a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, which is partly responsible for crafting Missouri’s budget.

For a seat where Democrats have almost no chance of winning, this is honestly a pretty strong field to take on Josh Hawley. Other than December Harmon, I don't see a weak candidate here.
