I would vote for Peebs and she would win.

She is much more closely aligned to the median Democrat than Abdullah is to the median Republican (he's not even a Republican, but he's the Republican substitute here since he's clearly to the right of Peebs), plus I think there would be far fewer Democrats who would categorically refuse to vote for a trans person, compared to the number of Republicans who would categorically refuse to vote for a Muslim.

The religious views against same-sex marriage predate the concept of “gay people” by several thousand years. They have nothing to do with thinking anything bad about gay people.

This makes zero sense. How can opposition to homosexual marriage predate homosexuality?
