This looks great! I'll take Hawley.

Glad to see the game get off to a good start. Can't wait for the debates!

Pete resigning as Secretary just to not run for President wouldn't make any sense, although I suppose we could retcon that.

I know I’m not in the Democratic Primary but Gore 2024 seems kinda outlandish. And we definitely need an active JB. I haven’t seen anything from him, no offense AFE.

Should we expect a midturn for this turn?

Dave told me that'll come out tomorrow.

Having Noem withdraw from this game. I've seriously considered doing so multiple times but have put it off. But now I've made up my mind. I won't even bother with a dropping-out post as Noem in the gameplay thread, if you don't mind.
Neither am I particularly enjoying the game, and nor, when you get down to it, is there much of a chance at all of Noem winning. Her chances at victory, let's face it, are very, very slim.
Besides, the gameplay consumes quite a bit of time for me that, quite frankly, I'd rather spend doing other things.

So Noem is dropping out of the race as of right now.

I think you campaigned well. But it's true, this game can be time-consuming on occasion. Thanks for playing!

Can you reduce the size of the Putin image, Oldies? It's stretching the thread.

Great job with election night, Dave! I hope you guys enjoyed the projection slides I made. Just to be clear I made one for each candidate, so I had no idea who was gonna win in the end.

Here's one I made for DeSantis

C) suspend the campaign and endorse Josh Hawley with the hopes that a Lin Wood endorsement would make the Hawley campaign seem unviable
I think you meant to say "extremely viable"

What Lin meant was he wants to take a viable candidate and tank it with his endorsement.

Lin Wood’s endorsement would make anyone the presumptive nominee  Tongue

Dave told me election night would start around 10 Eastern, so if anyone wants to get something in before then (DeSantis, Youngkin Smile) you should do that now.

With Whitmer dropping out and endorsing Gore that essentially closes Harris’ path to then nomination. Likely will drop out in the coming hours.

I don't think it'll matter that much at the end of the day (nor should it). Less candidates means less delegate splitting too, so if anything Kamala has a better chance at clinching the nom now.

I am putting out official feelers for interest in resuming the game Late May/Early June.

That sounds great. What does everyone else think?

Really would hate to see this game die off before it gets a proper conclusion Sad. Maybe we could resume sometime in June, depending on everyone's schedule. With Gathering Storm fizzling out, I think it'd be good to start considering it.

Very down for restarting this soon enough. My timetable is still late June for optimal availability.

Late June seems like a good time to kick it back off, but I’d like to hear what our Youngkin and DeSantis players have to say. We may need someone to fill them in.

I think the only candidates we need to fill for a reboot are Youngkin and DeSantis, assuming Kamala is on board with late June.
