It supposedly wasn't politically motivated, and looks more like yet another example of "paranoid homeowner terrified of ethnic minority approaching their home decides to shoot first and ask questions hopefully never". Americans have been well trained to be absolutely petrified of other people.
I would say that is still political since we all know what party is trained to treat an ethnic minority approaching their home as a threat.
I don't disagree, but I'd hold off doing so here until we know the affiliation of the (Hispanic) shooter. Sadly, the paranoia epidemic is quickly becoming a bipartisan affair as even leftists are sprinting to the nearest gun stores.
