Alternate history scenario where George Wallace switches parties over his opposition to Civil Rights and wins the primary due to a splintered electorate. The resulting map is closer to one that you would've seen during the Spoils System. Wallace does better with the E.C. but does much worse in the P.V. outside of the South. Overall Wallace performs marginally better with the P.V; inflated by Southerners who would've otherwise reluctantly voted for Johnson. I think LBJ would narrowly win KY+WV (and keep TN close) because of the TVA/Great Society. MD/DE could've gone to Wallace but Wilmington would likely be enough for Johnson to win it and segregationists didn't do well in MD during that era (George Mahoney lost in all of his attempts, although they were close). NV/AZ was known for its reactionary politicians during that period and NM was more conservative, although it would've been close. Without a Catholic on the ticket, NM likely flips.
