New Hampshire prides itself as being the first primary in the nation and Nevada is a state democrats have spent the last 6 years in the verge of losing but somehow eeking out wins at the key races except for governor this year. And even though Biden had a decent win in NH in 2020 it voted for HRC by less than 0.5 points. Could this primary shenanigans cost him these two states?

I think this is a pretty non-issue except for some very weird single issue voters. Unless they're withing a few hundred votes, no, and even then probably not.

I do think in NV though, being an early state helps Dem engagement a bit given the D base in NV is traditionally very unreliable and low turnout.

It would be funny if Biden backtracks out of fear of losing NH and NV...only to lose Michigan.

This might well cost Biden and Democrats New Hampshire. They are very proud of being the first in the nation, so if the Republican Primary remains first, I can see Republicans dominating New Hampshire politics going forward.

It shouldn't change much in Nevada, however.

The party bosses and pundits care way more about this than the actual voters, who outside of people like you'd find here don't care in the slightest as far as determining their vote

Most people aren't going to care about it enough to consider changing their vote over it.

I don't like this change to the primary calendar, but in the general election I can't imagine it would sway more than a few hundred votes at max

Most people angry about it are primary voters which are registered Dems for all intents and purposes. I don't think they will punish Biden in a general.

Nevada will go first along with New Hampshire and nobody will have any problem.

His margin will improve in both states for this move. If you aren't some weird freak, getting blasted with election ads a year before everyone else is annoying
