Most of the White and Latino men in unions are Republican voters.

The only union men that vote Democratic aggressively still are Black men.

Republicans should drop the right to work legislations and embrace the unions....because union people like the GOP, not only police unions, but laborers, etc.

Most of the laborers are Republicans.

The GOP always serves their corporate overlords first and foremost, this will never happen.

I’ve been saying this for a while but it’s the corporate donors like the Koch brothers who buy out these politicians and make it close to impossible.

They won't because Unions not bankers like Trump support Tax increases and campaign finance reform and closing the tax loopholes on the wealthy because Corporate pays our SSA taxes our stimulus checks came from not just our taxes but our employer taxes, and they complained because there are Labor Shortages but whenever we're on SSA or Unemployment they are paying us our employers, and Rs believe in tax cuts 20% not tax reform which means not a rate cut but close the tax loopholes on the wealthy like Hunter Biden paid his taxes late like Trump but Trump is a Billionaire, Hunter is a Millionaire

That's why Hunter Biden investigation will go nowhere, he paid his taxes late like Trump but Trump committed an insurrection, Hunter was already investigated before 2020 Eday  and Rs only have 220 during Benghazi they had 240

That has to be surprising, wow. They still support Democrats after BLM and all of that?

Republicans should adopt all the Democratic Party's policies.  That would really outflank the Democrats.

P.S. the Republicans unanimously voted against the union's main demand.

Republicans have pushed through right to work, blocked miniumum wage increases, actually cut police funding for real ( Does anyone remember in 2011, when Kasich tried to destroy Police/Fire fighter unions as well ? https://www.cleveland.com/open/2011/02/police_and_fire_unions_say_the.html).

Sam Brownback of Kansas, Governor Sam Brownback, cut taxes so much, he blew a hole in the Kansas State budget forcing him to cut spending to.... Police. State Police.

But no one, wants to strike at the Republicans for this.

The Republican Party will never do that because they are bankrolled by interests that don't care for unions.

Biden won union voters in Michigan

Quote
Biden's strength in Michigan came from union households, who composed 21% of the electorate and supported Biden by 56%–42%.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_Michigan

I’d say in some ways some of the reason we have made gains in the rust belt was due to the fact that Governor such as Scott Walker , Rick Synder and even Kasich to a lesser degree weakens the power of union bosses

Someone please ban this racist clown again already.

The forum was exponentially better without this fool.

Why the hell was he unbanned? What were the mods thinking? Who honestly believes the forum is improved by these threads and this stupid, tired schtick? It's spam at best, offensive garbage at worst.

If you wanna talk about a party adopting unorthodox policy, Democrats attacking Republicans for being the ones REALLY "defunding the police" would make much more sense.

Mostly prejudiced

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

Republicans have also successfully used propaganda to make it look like Democrats will allow crime, take all your money from taxes, allow work able people to live off welfare and have public schools turn kids trans.

Republicans would never be able to do that because the Republican preference for smaller government is incompatible with the desires of union favored policies. That is before you get to all the donor influence as well.

Culture wars.

The assumption that Democrats have nothing in common with real Americans like Police and firefighters.

Compare the Romney-Ryan ticket with even McCain-Palin or Trump's performances in many of those types of areas.

Then remember that Paul Ryan is what the donors and the economic pressure groups want.

Yea, for some reason, McCain and Romney could not even win the rich Hamptons/WWC Long Island area..but Dollar Don, the billionaire got their support......that's the irony of it all
