Interactive is like video games, art and social media.

Passive is like TV, music and reading.

False dichotomy. Reading, television, and physical exercise. Occasional writing or drawing (not as much as in my youth, sadly).

Interactive. Passive is good for when I'm doing something else that's interactive (entertainment or work) and doesn't require all my attention, but if I have all my attention to give to something it should be interactive.

"Passive entertainment" being considered a separate thing is one of the dorkiest things I've ever heard.

How is art "interactive" unless you're talking about actually painting? Going to a gallery seems conceptually the same as reading or watching a film.

I think "art" in this case refers to making art. There's lots of great platforms to share your doodles on now.
