Do you have things you enjoy, but hate most of the other people who enjoy the same thing?  I have this problem with Japanese sports cars.  I love small sports cars, Japan does that best, but the culture surrounding it sucks.  Guys, you can be fast without the loud fart pipes and 20lbs of stickers.

Lacrosse. Everyone's either the stereotype you'd think or else trying way too hard to show that they're not like that, which is equally annoying. I just like the sport!

The architecture and the technological advancements in the Middle East are very impressive... the culture of that region I would say I don't like at all (and I'm talking about things like theocracy and the treatment of women in the Middle East).  I find it quite odd that they have this very modern style to their buildings, their cities, when the social and cultural attitudes are centuries behind.

Dubai, for example.  It looks like a very modern, "hip" city that's very much of the times.  Stunning skyline, visually striking.

Road tripping around rural America.  Utah in particular is stunning.

US Patriotism is pretty mild 99% of the time when it comes to the Olympics and any international competition everyone comes out full nationalist.

True crime stuff. Like, I personally really enjoy reading about unsolved cases, listening to podcasts that go through how people have looked at and tried to solve old cases, and exploring the "lore" of some of the old famous cases like the Zodiac killings. I think it helps me improve my problem-solving and analysis skills, understand the criminal justice system, and hope-against-hope that maybe I might be able to help out in some way. But I totally agree that the huge majority of people who say they're into "true crime" are mostly just busybodies who treat real-life tragedies as non-fiction soap operas. I especially could not stand the gross reaction to the whole Brian Laundrie-Gabby Petito story last year or the fanboying/fangirling around people like Ted Bundy.

I think chess is a fascinating game, but I hate the culture around it. I've never encountered a chess aficionado who was not an intolerable, rude, conceited nerd. Pretty much all the big names in chess and grand wizards or whatever they call themselves seem like rotten guys too.

I think Utah itself qualifies as an answer too

Season 16 and onward is culturally the living embodiment of, basically, "the reason(s) WWC went R in 2016."

Still a good show, but it gets on my nerves.
