Quote
NEWARK — A city fire captain was attacked after a fire at a homeless encampment Sunday morning.

Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said firefighters responded to a fire on Riverside Avenue in an area under Route 21 around 11:05 a.m. where homeless individuals gather. The area in the North Ward is primarily industrial.

After the fire was extinguished, a homeless man threw a can of food at a fire captain.

Both the fire captain and the homeless man were taken to University Hospital. The homeless man was held for "crisis evaluation," according to Fragé. Their identities were not disclosed.

The fire captain suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

We call on the world to tell us please god what are we going to do for the children.

How can we raise children in a world where our men in uniform are being attacked? One side of the political aisle would have everyone be homeless through high taxes and high rent urban areas. This is the idea of the far left. The other side of the political aisle would have us kill all the homeless by bussing them to North Dakota in the winter. This is the far right. I would propose a middle ground solution. We ALL agree this is wrong. We ALL agree we must find a solution. But we cannot agree exactly on WHAT TO DO.

That fire captain got a personalized tour of Biden's America. God help us.

The existence for God is sparse at best. But I need not get into minor details regarding this post. The bigger picture is that homelessness is a problem. And being homeless is not ideal. Joe Brandon wasn’t the cause of the homelessness but he is the leader of our country. He has to do something about this.

I'm just surprised this isn't a Bronz threaf.

I know that area in NJ well----industrial North Newark.....a lot of Italians and Portuguese auto body shop owners and waste management dump all the bodies from the mob business there.....Newark Police know what's up.

They move to Belleville, Nutley, Little Falls, Staten Island.

Shame on Newark officials for allowing homeless people around. The homeless are usually seen at the Penn Stations, in NYC and Newark.

They need to be put in homeless shelters.

Agreed. Do you see any potential Republican trends if violent homeless assaults continue on in New Jersey? Would DeSantis being of Mediterranean ethnic origin help him with these voters if he were to run again Biden in 2024?
