Could see Republicans picking up as many as five New England seats in a wave, which would be a dramatic improvement over 2010 and 2014. There’s only so much you can do to defy the gravity of national/cultural trends (same applies to the RGV/South TX), and the current margins in rural/small-town NE aren’t really sustainable for Democrats anymore.

It took Jahana Hayes running an atrocious campaign for you to be even within a few thousand votes of being 20% correct.

This race was a pleasant surprise. Weren’t there a lot of polls showing Fung ahead? Why’d pollsters get this one so wrong?

Awww poor Allen.  I'm as disappointed about this race as I was when Joe Cunningham lost in 2020.

I don't know why the polls were wrong, but this district voted for Biden by a healthy margin. It's not a race one would normally expect a Republican to win.

To be fair, they along with every other pollster that took a crack at the race, were right on the money when it came to Fung's support. What happened was that virtually all of the undecideds broke for Magaziner and that's where they missed.

This poll was not too inaccurate. All you needed to do was give all the undecideds to the Democrat!

Yep.
