Only lived in Florida so I can't really say. I've always written the Rust Belt off for having no jobs, but that's probably just Sun Belter bias and I could go for cheaper cost of living right about now. As long as there's a nice, affordable suburb I'd be happy. In Florida I was on a ranch and golf course that had tract housing on it right next to a pond with an alligator, which I still don't know what to make of tbh.
