Who do you think will be the first African American woman to become governor of a US state? And when do you think that happens?

As for 2024, I think Lisa Blunt Rochester would be most likely. Carney will be term-limited and she's well known around Delaware as sole Representative.

In 2025, Winsome Sears would be a good bet for Virginia, especially if Biden is still president.

In 2026, I think there's a good chance JB Pritzker retires. Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton would be a frontrunner. Seems like she's relatively close with Pritzker, whose support would almost seal the deal? I'd also not rule out Secretary of State Shirley Weber or London Breed for California that year. In Connecticut, Rep. Jahana Hayes would also be a top-tier contender.
