It’s worth recalling the fracas after Edwards production company (where he was MD) broke an agreement not to film Prince William at university- rather hilarious on reflection but Brian made his feelings clear.
An added twist is that Edward and his wife were very close to the Queen in her later years- especially Sophie. This adds a reason for Brian not to like them as relations between both courts didn’t exactly go smoothly…
