Trash this in the bin. No way is Trump at 55 % Nationally, ZERO chance.

I think you're overestimating the calibre of your party's voters. I'm sorry if this sounds offensive, but the GOP invited the dumbest people in the country (possibly the dumbest people on the planet?) into its core base. Now they're stuck with them. The GOP did everything in its power to make sure that its redneck followers worshipped Trump, and now they expect them to turn on a dime. It's not going to be easy.

Yup, and not just that. Many of the tossup race losses this cycle were winnable for the GOP. However, they nominated the sh*tiest candidates they could find, blowing one race after another. Don't even take it from me, I'm just repeating what McConnell said.

The problem with the base that conservatives and their propaganda machine have created for themselves is that they would rather worship insane, bad candidates than win. Many of them view it as selling out to try and win elections. The left has a similar problem, but the Democrats have done a great job of bullying that crap to the sidelines over the past couple years.

LMAO looks like the DeSantis stans have some explaining to do.

But the best they can come up with so far is "throw it into the trash."

Which is, funnily enough, precisely the same thing they were saying exactly 1 month ago about polls that accurately showed that the midterms were close, without a GOP wave.

But they said to discard those accurate polls and instead only look at polls from Trafalgar and other Republican hack pollsters.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Overly active imagination and wishcasting.

Technically, 2016 is not "overestimating" anything. The concept of "estimation" implies that someone is weighing the evidence, thinking, and forming a reasoned guess or approximation based on some form of data.

But 2016 is not doing anything of the sort. 2016 always says the same thing, regardless of circumstances, facts, or evidence, like a mindless automaton.

In 2016's world, it is always 2016. In 2016's world, the Republicans (or in this case the Republican candidate that 2016 supports in a primary) are always going to do better than expected in every election, and polls as well as any other information that indicates otherwise are dismissed without any more reason than "that makes me feel bad, I don't like it."

I'll be honest, I'm quite enjoying how all-over-the-place the polling is for these primaries. Which, to be fair, makes sense given that the voting isn't going to happen for over a year.
