John Travolta does not approve this post nor would he be dancing with such regale upon the news of this Iranian Government leader.

They are not "protests" - what you are seeing is a revolution.

Khomeini has been dead and buried for over thirty years now.

Well on this occasion at least, I totally hope that you are correct.

Iranian Revolutionary Movement has been in latency for decades, ever since the failed revolution of the late '70s, which was a mixture of the Iranian-Left combined with a Shiite Fundamentalist uprising of small merchants and artisans, combo of large city and agricultural rurals against the Shah.

Main problem with the Iranian Revolution which arguably started in the early '70s, led by Leftists in the Industrial Sectors, Academia, and rural workers, ended up getting hijacked by the merchants in the Bazaars, blaring and selling underground music tapes from the Khomeini in exile in Paris.

Former Political Science Professor of mine has a few stories to tell from back in the dayz...

Getting his PhD in the USA in the '60s.

Goes back to Iran in the early '70s.

Gets pulled into SAVAK interrogation cells right after showing up at the airport for a week, without any family contact.

Gets his job at Tehran University, after being cleared by SAVAK, working at the "Law School".

Fast forward through the '70s and tons of his students start "disappearing", and many of his students won't exactly talk about their "disappeared" classmates.

Now we hit the '77 and '78 starting of the Iranian Revolution...

S**t starting to hit the fan, and my Professor was a bit of a Leftist, but yet not considered an enemy of the Shah...

Iranian Left controlled the streets of Tehran with their armed militias for about 6-9 months following the fall of the Shah, armed roadblocks--- Beirut Lebanon style.

The Religious Fundi's ended up winning the Iranian Revolution, and the Leftist Militias gave up their weapons.

My Professor grew out his beard, living in different safe houses every different night...

Finally makes his way to Turkey, gets him a ticket out of town.

Back when I was in college in the '90s he told me that although the regime would arrest him immediately if he were to set foot on Iranian soil, that they didn't go after his family.

Burn Baby Burn is not just a US song from some Hip-Hip dude from the late '80s / early '90s.

Revolution happens for multiple reasons, and quite frankly Iran might well be on the verge of a Revolutionary Uprising, which might not be capable of being suppressed by the authorities and Law Enforcement Regimes (Despite how the Iranian GVT has deliberately split up crowd control as part of lessons learned from the '77-'79 Iranian Revolution).

'cause they have beards.  It's what we call them around here from time to time.  Not necessarily "beardo", but "the men with beards", "the beards in charge", that kind of thing.  Shorthand for the group of evil men currently running/ruining the country of Iran.

What makes this hilarious is that the main raison d'être for Irish far-left has always been... secularism.

Traditionally, perhaps. These days almost the sole motivating force for too many like him is "whoever opposes the US is axiomatically good".

This is no different the January 6 protests. I hope they get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I highly urge you and your hive minded army to change your aim to a different user, specifically the following one.

This is no different the January 6 protests. I hope they get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
