How’d 1992 go in a rematch with an incumbent Dukakis after a narrow electoral win in 1988 with HW saying he’d go again. Ross Perot does not run.

Depends on how Dukakis' term went. The economy wasn't really good in 1992, though it could have been better here. Rematches usually tend not go well for the challenger and HW was already 68 at the time. I think the GOP challenger to Dukakis could have been someone else, no matter how close 1988 is.

Possible HW fails to win the nomination, if runs again. So basically a redux of Humphrey's '72 campaign.
