With the exception of a partial term from a 2011 special, this will be the first time since 1990 that there is more than one Republican representing NYC in Congress (NY-03 has part of Queens).

Almost 3 if NY-04 had just taken in 1 precinct from Kings County. Despite how NYC is presented, there are quite a lot of Republican pockets.

New York State senate Democrats held up very well in state senate races upstate. Long Island was a bloodbath, and they’re gonna have to address crime adequately if they want to retake those NYC suburban seats.

They still lost the Biden +10 Newburgh/Poughkeepsie seat and even likely underperformed Hochul there.

Cervas was meticulous about minimizing county splits so that was not going to happen. I think you meant Queens rather than Kings.  :]

Probably because Republicans nominated the popular mayor of Poughkeepsie for that seat.

Duke of York:
when Katie Hobbs is sworn in as Governor of Arizona the state will have had five woman governors. More than any other state.
