So three TL ideas have been rooted in the back of my head for several weeks now and I want all of you to vote on the one you think would be most interesting to read.

Success Takes Care of Itself - In 1918, Businessman and CEO/Founder of Ford barely lost the Michigan Senate Race by 2% as a Democrat. In this TL, he wins in 1918 and is barely re-elected in 1924 before cruising to a third term in 1930. In 1932, the Democrats are politically stuck. They know they'll win this year but they fear the wrong candidate could cost them a winnable race. With FDR, who lost the Governorship in 1928, a non-factor, William Gibbs McAdoo, Al Smith, and John Nance Garner are the front-runners. But there's a problem. William Randolph Hearst essentially controls the party right now and he's no fan of McAdoo. At the same time, the anti-catholic sentiment is still too high for the Democrats to throw their support behind Smith again and Garner, being a Southerner, is unlikely to get Northerner support. With other options like Murray being ruled out, the Democrats go with Dark Horse draft candidate Henry Ford, who handily wins the election, though doing a bit worse than FDR in the process. What what happens to this great nation as we live under President Ford and what comes after him.

Buchananica - A Very Different 1980s - In 1973, Nixon makes an off-hand comment to Pat Buchanan, saying he should run for Governor of Virginia Because he'll most likely win easily. And so, Buchanan goes ahead and wins the election as expected. When Reagan dies unexpectedly in a plane crash in 1978, Buchanan becomes the new darling of the Right at 42 years of age and a popular former governor of a Southern State who's strongly Conservative and has people like Phyllis Schlaffy and Roy Cohn advising him. In 1980 he wins the Presidency and things become completely as the Republican Party becomes Buchananite instead of Reaganite in this Timeline.

John John, Camelot's 21st Century Prince - JFK Jr runs for Senate in the 1998 NY Senate Race after Schumer declines and wins easily. In 2003, Bush Jr is killed by Dick Cheney who extends the WoT to Iran, Syria, Libya, Oman, and Lebanon. In Early 2004, he's removed by impeachment vote and is replaced by his VP Tom Ridge, who says he won't run for a Presidential Term in his own right. Jr defeats McCain in the Election and so 2005-beyond sees Kennedy, a political novice, face enemies and challenges that he might be unprepared for. Does he succeed or does he fail?

The Ford TL. Interwar political history is fascinating and imagining how a Ford Presidency would have effects on the whole of the 20th century is super intriguing.
