Having already declared my intentions to run in the At-Large elections for Senate in December, I announce this campaign and office open.

A short platform:

-A major promise of my campaign will be activity; while I cannot force Atlasian citizens to participate, I promise to be an example of activity to aspire you. I will participate in debate. I will vote on legislation.

-I will protect individual rights regarding speech and self defense. We can only call ourselves a free nation if we protect speech and privacy.

-I will work to limit federal meddling in strictly regional issues.

-In a government filled with agenda, I will be a voice for freedom.

I welcome any questions citizens have, and endorsements from any party.

I'd like to take a moment to share with you some of the experience I've had prior in the game

My first position was as Secretary of Veteran Affairs for Blair's term as Governor of what was then called the Northern Region. We championed a bill allowing Veterans access to a wide network of shelters. I also was elected to the Northern Assembly shortly after that, and wrote a bill to combat road hypnosis among other pieces of legislation.
For a time, I was in congress, elected to the House of Representatives twice where I voted on a number of policies before becoming Game Moderator for Atlasia. During my tenure, major plot lines regarding terrorist attacks and riots across the nation unfolded. I also was a member of the National Security Council, but for a short time.

If you believe my record is congruent with a statesman who appreciates the game, then put Enduro as your first preference in the upcoming election.

What bills are you planning?

I don't have them written out yet, but I'd like to introduce a bill regarding the decriminalization of marijuana, the decriminalization of guns, and an end to selective service. Of course, before I do any of that, I'd need to research the current statutes of each one to see exactly what I'd like to change if anything. Which I hopefully have more time after Thanksgiving to do so.
I also want to introduce bills that'll keep office holders more accountable for bribery and influencing government to fit their private bank accounts. The language of that bill will need to be carefully written, however, as a law written haphazardly regarding this could end up putting power into the wrong hands.

Announcement

In my term in the Senate, I have so far kept my promise to vote barring a leave of absence, but I have not nearly been as active as I wanted to be. In the coming months, I will continue serving you the best I can, but I regret to say that I will not be running for re-election.
I've thought over this decision multiple times since making it, but I always come to the same conclusion, so it's time to inform all of you. Simply put, I cannot vouch for my ability to remain active in a perspective second term.

Good luck to everyone here, and whoever takes my seat after I leave office. I will try to stay in Atlasian politics afterward, and may run for office again in the future.
