Republican Registration Edge in Florida has balooned to 396,830.

Republicans - 5,316,499 (-9,090)
Democrats - 4,921,669 (-47,708)
Independents - 4,311,607 (+9,707)

In paranthesis are the changes from December 1st 2022.

R+394,830

Aww, I missed these updates!

2024 FL-SEN is Safe R anyways. Nothing to see here.
Thanks Smiley I appreciate it.

Yeah, FL looks GONE for D's for the forseeable future. FL Legislative Session begins in March. By that time the lead will be 400,000+ IMO.

That has half ironic though, because voter registration is not necessarily a good indicator to predict elections (at least not on a sole basis)...

So McConnell spends millions to defeat a Republican (and support the literal RINO candidate Murkowsi) to "protect incumbents" yet he may back a challenger to a solid conservative in a likely R seat just because he pissed him off.
Corrupt Cocaine Mitch needs to go.

Scott is actually vulnerable in a primary, but turning this into a McConnell vs. Scott contest is a surefire way to make sure he sails to another term.

Once again, Mitch McConnell proves that he’s not a particularly smart strategian.

Looks like Florida genuinely is becoming somewhere where conservatives are eager to move to, much like Texas used to be. I’ll happily take that trade, though, Texas is bigger and if it ever becomes a swing state Democrats won’t be reliant on voters with psychotic foreign policy preferences to win there.

I'd honestly be surprised if he gets more than a quarter of the primary vote.

I think Michael Adam’s running for SOC or Russel Coleman running for AG would do alright. Micheal Adam’s is the only sane, non-conspiracy theory type Republican in the race. He’s done a very good job as SOS

How about he did a good job on Tornadoes just like DeSantis did on IAN and he is a WC D that is moderate just like Jefferson was but not in slavery standards but in our standards, they aren't aren't called Dixiecrats but WC D's that can get R votes, that's why Presley is only down 4 and Stein is tied in MS and NC

Reeves won by 5 last time but he wasn't running against cuz of Elvis Presley, with 5 percent of the blk vote outstanding and a few thousand Indies can vote for Presley in an upset

Just like Gwen Graham is a WC D but she is in the Biden admin she isn't interested we still don't know if Stephanie Murphy whom is WC is gonna run

I was thinking it might be Adams. He has been seen as a potential successor to McConnell, as have Cameron and Craft.

It's solely wave insurance we don't need FL but DeSantis and Trump in PPP KEEPS TRAILING TRUMP AND DESANTIS BY 4 PTS THATS NOT A NAILBITER ITS A WAVE INSURANCE MAP

Whom got MI, PA, WI AZ, NV and GA right Marist not Trafalgar and PPP keeps having Biden leads by 4 52/48

GA is gone with Carter, VA with Kaine, Gallego leads all RS on AZ and Casey won by 18 in 2018 the RS are locked out of 270 the rest is wave insurance for the H and S

Nikki Fried elected chair of the Florida Democratic Party, so presumably she's out of the race.

Quote
Florida Democrats on Saturday elected Nikki Fried to what many Democrats consider the worst job in state politics.

Democrats picked Fried, the state’s former agriculture commissioner who also ran for governor last year, to be the party’s chair, replacing Manny Diaz, who stepped down in January. Diaz abruptly resigned following midterm elections that saw an across-the-board thumping by Republicans.

On one hand, she managed to win statewide before. On the other, her gubernatorial campaign was a complete disaster.

D's should ignore  FL as long as DeSantis is gonna be the nominee we have other swing state that we can focus on like OH, NC and TX that's gonna be alot closer especially OH we aren't giving up on OH with Brown because DeWine pushed Vance over the finish line and DeWine isn't on the ballot

She was probably the wrong choice, but this is just a question of arranging the chairs on the Titanic.  The problems with the Florida Democratic Party go much deeper than just poor leadership (although I’m sure that doesn’t help).  They need to reinvent the wheel and just rebuild entirely from the bottom up.

The place to start is local office by focusing on building a strong bench for state legislative races.  Also, the fact that Demmings did everything right and Crist did everything wrong yet they performed pretty similarly is a five alarm fire that it’s probably going to be a minute before FL Dems are seriously competitive statewide absent the occasional fluke or Democratic tidal wave.

Still important to seriously contest statewide elections if only to help down ballot turnout, but local and then state legislative office is the place to focus on for the time being.  Salazar, Gimenez, Lee, and especially Luna’s House seats should also be seriously contested every cycle (only Salazar’s was in 2022, Luna’s was written off as Safe R but ended up being unexpectedly semi-close due to a strong campaign by an unheralded rich some dude).
