I have not been following the midterms too closely, but I still chose to predict the outcome of every House, Senate, and gubernatorial election. I mostly based my predictions on polling, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and the 538 forecast.
I expect Republicans to win the general congressional ballot by around 5 points, which is slightly more than what polling shows. I arrived at this figure because momentum seems to be in Republicans' favor right now and I expect polling to slightly underestimate Republican support.
This election will be a moderately sized red wave with Republicans taking control of both the House and Senate.
