Both at 44% in a head to head with only them as named candidates.

Interesting that republicans, by a margin of 62 to 27 percent want Trump to run again, but also by a margin of 62 to 26 percent want Desantis to run. Seems like among actual GOP voters, there is not as much animosity to a potential Trump challenge as we see along his Stan's online.

Seems pretty misleading.

First of all, it is not asking who you would vote for, but who you want to win. These are classically different questions and can yield different results in polls.

Second of all, naming only the two of them head to head is unrealistic. In 2016, Trump was able to win because multiple non-Trump candidates were running and split the vote against him. In 2024, if any other candidates at all besides Trump run (which we still don't actually know will be the case, technically), there will also be multiple candidates and it is highly unlikely that only 2 of them will receive a significant number of votes.
