Magaziner (D) 48%
Fung (R) 48%
Undecided 5%

https://www.wpri.com/news/elections/democrats-say-party-poll-found-magaziner-gaining-but-gop-argues-fung-is-still-ahead/

GOP counters by saying their own polling still has Fung outside MoE

Last Dem internal had Magaziner down 3

Has McKee +7 in this district, 51-44, so Magaziner still running behind him.

They could still come home here. Not relying on it, though. This poll says it’s possible.

Ha. Ha. Hahahaha.

Congressman Fung here we come! Guess what? He is a great candidate and he’s running a very strong campaign, which OP seems to think are impossible for Republicans.

Assuming Fung wins this year how long is he going to be able to hold onto the seat?

He could win in 2024 if DeSantis wins by like 3+ nationally AND he is a legitimate moderate who votes and represents his district rather than the national party.

It’d take a minor miracle for him to survive 2026 though. Won’t say DOA this far out in a hypothetical world but 99% chance he has lost by 2026, 50% loses by 2024, 25% loses this year is my prediction.

Susan Collins from nearby ME agrees with this statement
(Yes, I know she was an incumbent but Fung has such high name recognition from his being mayor and running statewide so he's kind of a de facto incumbent)

Obviously good news for Dems that they're tied in their own internals !

Candidate quality matters folks. Fung is running a good race here and could very well take RI-02 even if the "red wave" is more of a ripple. Tilt R.

Biden +12.7 seat just like CA-27 *high five*

Maybe they’re also trying to be clever in this district and releasing this to trick the Fung campaign into believing their candidate has a chance when their unpublished internals actually show Magaziner winning easily. Or they’re part of the coordinated gaslighting campaign on social media designed to make people believe this is a R-leaning year and that people care about issues besides abortion.
