So uh, what's the over-under on Ken Calvert coming back from being 13 points behind?

Calvert's been in Congress for 30 years. He's a very dirty guy - just see his Wikipedia page.
I'd just love for him to lose.
He can be the GOP version of Collin Peterson if he does - a 30-year incumbent who lost reelection.

His new district is a lot less favorable, at only Trump + 1.

It really comes down to whether or not heavily Dem and heavily LGBTQ Palm Springs has disproportionately high tunout to the more conservative LA suburbs/exurbs whatever you want to call them.

I bet the calls to cut Social Security helped Dems also.

Except in senior-heavy Florida, of all f***ing places.

Speaking of Hobbs, Democrats should still be mad at her. She made many mistakes that could have cost her this election if she loses, especially knowing how favorable the environment ended up being for her.

Democrats are +10 in the NH State House right now and only need +13 net for a majority, still a lot left to call too!

With no Kemp-Abrams race to juice R turnout, I have to think Warnock is favored in a runoff.  That's even before considering that Trump will announce another presidential run before then, which would motivate D's even more.  The announcement is widely rumored to be next Tuesday, although he might be talked into delaying until after the runoff.

Speaking of which, I haven't seen James Carville tonight, usually MSNBC has him on and I'd like to see just how drunkenly elated he is tonight.

What were her big mistakes ? Skipping the debates seem like a good idea in retrospect.

!!! !!! !!!

We should all know Erie County, PA -- the northernmost county in the state and a recent swing county (though a long-standing Democratic stronghold until 2016); it's reporting in at 94%.

Fetterman leads here 53-44.  Biden won here 50-49 in 2020.

I'm sorry for turning full doomer, but honestly I got way too caught up will the all the pre-election stuff from reputable people like Wasserman and Rastlon.

There was so much banking from pollsters and pundits about a shy republican vote/Democratic polling bias as well as the GOP's past performance in previous Democratic incumbent midterms that nobody really saw this coming.

Also, RE: NY - Not sure if NY is still suffering from the same issues, but they took *forever* to count the final mail-ins in the NY-19 and NY-22 specials in August. Ryan was up by 2% the night of the election. His final margin ended up being 4% when everything was counted. So not sure if they're still following the same sluggish final VBM count there.

In 2020, I remember the results on election night seemed a bit too good to be true for Rs, then the mail votes were tabulated for Ds in the coming days and things made more sense.

However, Dems recently passed a election thing that changes how they count ballots so I don't neccessarily know if that is the case this time.

Better question: Why should I be mad at someone who F--KING WON?

Clearly she knew something these clowns didn't, including that DEBATES DON'T MATTER!!!

Yep, this is huge. This and Lackawanna really came in huge for Fetterman in terms of ancestral D areas.

Any sense of when we’re expecting more vote from AZ or any from NV?

NV doesn't release any votes until every single person in line has voted.

NYT thinks he will, but you have to wonder...

This was a >95% R race this morning, so if he goes down something absolutely crazy has happened

Oh My God.

How is this even possible ?

In 2020, Tom Mcclintock, the Republican won this area 54 to 45.
