Confused in WA-03. Clark is the biggest vote count out with 110K+ ballots. Perez is winning there right now by +18. NYT is expecting Kent to surge to +8 in the end? Even though most of his counties don't have a ton of vote out?

Even Bill Clinton didn't gain Senate seats in 1998 (no net change). If the Democrats actually pull that off, it will be the first time since 1962 when John F. Kennedy was in office.

It would be kind of cool to end up with a 218-217 house...

As I said earlier I’d really have security concerns for house members

There are basically two possible GOP responses to this:

1. Accept that Trumpism is a millstone around their party that will always alienate a huge part of the general electorate, and they need to cut their losses and move on from it ASAP.

2. Go full fascist, try to declare all the elections they lost illegitimate, and cling to Trump even if it means civil war or suicide.

Who wants to take bets on which route they go with?

The slightly smarter Trumpists will say this is what happens when he's not on the ballot to juice their turnout.

Mayra Flores conceded!

Looks like Abbot will actually gain on Trump's margins a tad in RGV but winning the seat might have been a bridge too far...especially tn.

LMAOOOOOOOOO. This is one I really have to laugh about. The Flores surge was so fake. You love to see it. She's also a QanonNut. She deserved to lose.

NBC decision desk model predicts R 219 seats ± 13

GOP on 219 would be absolutely insane.

Allow me to tap the sign:
Maximum possible chaos scenario: GOP picks up the House, but by like 3 seats. They can't find anyone that can unify the caucus to become Speaker of the House, so a couple defect to make one of those "unity coalitions" we sometimes get in state legislatures, and we get a GOP House with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.

This is crazy. Dems could potentially keep both the House & the Senate.

Wow, if true, that would be an EPIC failure for the GOP.

Can you IMAGINE if someone resigned in a competitive district? The chaos would be absolutely amazing. McCarthy would not be speaker and a Biden impeachment wouldn’t pass.

Granted, Jones could very well still lose. But he's leading as of right now, which is shocking.

This district in it's many forms hasn't gone democrat in 50 years.

On our mini-tour of the Philly suburbs, we'll stop by Bucks County, PA.  It's home to the extraordinary Ringing Rocks State Park.  Boulders that cover a giant expanse of the park actually produce musical bell-like tones when struck with a hammer -- I went during the Fall of 2020, again: highly recommended! Just be sure to bring a hammer.

Fetterman leads 52-46 with 63% of the vote reported.  Biden won here 51-47 in 2020.

GOP only has 5 pickups so far. Little surprising. What's the PV for the House so far btw?
