The blessed needle still has the Senate in toss-up range, but tilting slightly D.

The Florida results tonight might be the most impressive in as long as I can remember. Panhandle vote is still out and Rubio is up 13% already.

So my general impression at this admittedly still early hour is that outside of a massive red wave in Florida, Democrats are doing...not badly?  Thoughts?

I am feeling quite a bit better than 2 hours ago, heartened Dems have a good chance at holding the Senate.

Yeah, I'm EXTREMELY cautiously optimistic that this will be a medium-bad night, not a fully bad one or a rednami.

So far it basically looks like 2020 redux… except in Florida for some reason.

My expectations were that the nation was too polarized for a "red wave" to happen easily. Thus far those expectations are bearing out.
We shall see as more votes are counted.

Florida starting to look more like Alabama than itself in 2000 or 2016.

The blessed needle still has the Senate in toss-up range, but tilting slightly D.

I think that'll change once we get to Nevada and Arizona. I expect Republicans to do better there.

I just watched an entire documentary on the Villages a few weeks ago, that state is wack and completely tailor-made for the Trumpist brand of politics. Complete abnormality.

This is not looking *catastrophic* at least. Senate looks closer to a pure tossup at the moment, rather than a rout.

Fetterman underperforming Shapiro a bit in PA but not as much as I would have thought based on the recent polling.

I'm not getting my hopes up yet. But in an hour or two ...maybe.

I suspect it's the alligators wearing tropical shirts and sunglasses.  You know that they always get out to vote.

It's really looking like Spanberger is going to win...

Vega's lead is 8 points, she's not getting the numbers she needs in rurals, and the EDay vote is drying up very quickly. It's going to be hard for her to hold on.

Is the Florida massacre the result of a bunch of Midwestern Republicans moving there?

And if so, what impact does their absence have on the Rust Belt elections?

It's amazing how completely decoupled from any other state or national trends Florida seems to be these past few cycles.  It's like it's its own country.

NH is at this point just a Dem mirage. Still have faith.

Glad to see someone fighting the good fight Hassan and Pappas as they're winning the Democratic strongholds of ahem Rochester and Laconia.
