LOL at all the red avatars from Midwestern and Northeastern dumps coping by spamming the Bugs Bunny Florida GIF

"How dare this growing, diverse state not vote for us?"

Nothing takes away our appeal as one of the most popular states in the country that is one of the best states to live in

Pretty much this ^

Blowing off the state as 'stupid' or 'weird' is a tad arrogant.

Looks like roughly an 8% underperformance in counties fully in for Demings, Rubio definitely has this race in double digits.

Still debating whether I should head out to grab something to drink or not. If Luria looks like she's gonna lose then I'll go get drunk.

Walker is running a little behind Trump 2020 numbers in Brantly and Glynn which have much of their results in.

Florida was obviously gone in 2020, I don’t know why anybody thought it would even be remotely close this time around.
"Obviously" seems a bit much for a state Trump won by a little over 3 percent.

It's time to build the wall.  Between Florida and Georgia/Alabama.

The fact that we'd actually rather keep Alabama should say it all.

Alabama has Civil Rights history, at least one surprisingly good art museum, and some areas where the weather is tolerable for part of the year. Florida has Pitbull.

Even worse - Miami is the soundcloud rapper capital of the world

This would be an important point if swing voters gave a sh!t what people on an election data thread said, yes.

F#ck Florida.

People on Atlas think your state votes the wrong way, so all of the nice things about it are invalid. Don't worry too much about the takes of political nerds.

Imagine defending the existence of Florida. What an overwhelming task.

Miami-Dade Cubans being winnable is/was flattering to Certain Narratives from the center-center-center-center....-center-left factions of the Democratic Party.

Update from Orange County, CA. Not sure if CA-45 or CA-47, definitely not CA-46

Jill Cowan | Reporting from Southern California

Despite intermittent rain in Fountain Valley, Calif., a suburban Orange County enclave, there was a line to cast ballots at the city’s recreation center. “It’s just something you have to do,” said Danny Truong, 24, who took a break from studying to vote.

Democrats are in for a horrid night, but big states need to trend R relative to the nation if they ever want a reasonable chance of regaining the Senate. Florida cementing itself as a Republican state is bad news for Joe Biden's reelection campaign (although I have argued since 2020 that it was unlikely to be a tipping point state anytime soon), but it might eventually help the DSCC reorient itself towards a longer list of target states.

Edit: to avoid this being abused as copium - there is still a fair chance that Florida trending R does not really help Democrats' Senate problems, if other large (and already likely/safe D) states trend Democratic.

I just looked at like seven precincts (election day vote only) in VA-07: Spanberger is outperforming McAuliffe by 8+ points in each. Now some of this might be Democrats returning to election-day voting, but it seems like she's in pretty good shape.

Joy Reid is straight up lying about Miami-Dade trending R "for a very long time." Lol no it hasn't! In 2016 and 2018 it was a massive win for Dems. There was a sudden, dramatic shift in 2020 almost incomparable to anything else.

At least Pitbull did a remix of an A-WA song. What Yemeni Jewish electronica groups have Soundcloud rappers remixed lately, huh?!

Thank god, her losing would've been really sd, especially when you consider it's a Biden + 7 district and Vega is just whatever.

So uh, Republicans, does this enable "fraud"? Yes or no.

Arizona is the most BORING vacation I've ever been on.  If it truly becomes the battleground for partisans to descend upon and make life miserable for everyone with annoying protests blocking up the drive thru to In-And-Out then perhaps God has smiled down upon us tonight as it's already freaking miserable in that state.
