Ferguson, and he would win because people don't like religious fundamentalists and extreme homophobes... The myth as if a guy who said this is somehow similar to the median voter is highly delusional and all the numbers available disprove it:

Quote
Just imagine, if you will, a child of a dysfunctional same-sex couple (and, yes, I know personally a few) being deprived of the solace and sanity of a teacher who had her Bible on her desk and a clearly Christian poster in the classroom who was that someone THAT troubled child could talk to and receive solace and hope.

In fact, this thread is full of people who were just proven very wrong about how liberal America is on abortion and how conservative it is on critical issues like trans people in sports claiming that Ferguson is somehow a socially liberal radical while Fuzzy is perfectly sane and normal.

Fuzzy’s rhetoric is generally to the right of his policy positions . For example he is pretty liberal on criminal justice issues , says he’d support pathway to citizenship if the wall was built and said he opposes overturning Obergefell.

Furgeson on the other hand outright believes anyone who isn’t a democrat is evil or stupid which is a terrible strategy to win over swing voters and his policy viewpoints are just as left as his rhetoric .  So really all Fuzzy would have to do is have is rein in his rhetoric to match his policy postions while Ferguson can’t even do that .

Btw this election would basically be AOC vs Elise Stefanik

They would both need to rein in their rhetoric an equal amount. And considering how Fuzzy's religious fanatic rhetoric is rooted in his religious beliefs and not politics, he'd have a harder time doing it. This is more like AOC vs a more extreme and unhinged version of Rick Santorum. People simply do not like religious fundamentalists, and Fuzzy can't help himself but say horrible things like what I quoted.
