Providence is hiring George Mason Head Coach Kim English to fill their vacancy.

English put together a pretty good turnaround with George Mason, going from fourteen to twenty wins over the past two seasons, but he still has not reached any postseason tournament.

I think there were plausibly better options available if Providence thought some more, like Matt Langel or Mitch Henderson (if Providence was willing to wait for Princeton to exit the NCAA Tournament).

I'm not sure Mitch Henderson is looking for a new job, least of all at Providence which is the cultural antithesis of Princeton - much as I adore both programs.

Princeton is his home and has been for a long time. I'm not sure he is seen as a good fit for any program but Northwestern - and even then, Princeton's basketball history and job security are likely more appealing than going back to the Midwest for a program with zero history in a difficult conference. They could throw a lot of money at him, but I'm not sure how life's not easier at alma mater. It's not like Tommy Amaker and James Jones have left despite far more reason to go. Heck, even Steve Donahue took the most sensible non-Ivy job for him, and he's right back there, albeit with a better program but less success.

It's even hard to see Langel there.

Providence's best option was probably Bobby Hurley to play up the rivalry with UConn but if they pursued him earnestly, they were very unsuccessful.

Kansas State-Michigan State is a terrific game so far.  UConn-Arkansas...is not.

Who would of thought Kansas St would outplay Kansas

Pretty much most people are already eliminated even if they picked Houston or Alabama the wrong runner ups

Watch out for the Dubs in NBA they can go back to Finals against Celts and win

It's obviously a flaw in way the NCAA put the teams in the regions they are putting g teams in the wrong brackets

In my lifetime three of the best games ever that I watched were Gonzaga-UCLA.

At least one Cinderella is heading to the Elite Eight after Florida Atlantic knocked off Tennessee last night 62-55.

The Owls will face Kansas State in the Elite Eight Tomorrow.

Terrible way for this team to lose, great game on both sides.

Michigan State should be a preseason top 25 team next year, only guaranteed loss is Hauser, while Walker and Hall both have another year of eligibility. Hoggard, Akins, Sissoko, Cooper, Kohler, and Holloman all should be returning with 2 5 star recruits (Xavier Booker and Jeremy Fears) along with 2 other top 100 recruits (Gehrig Norhmand and Coen Carr). MSU will also probably make some moves in the transfer portal to bring in a wing. Hopefully Walker comes back so we can see an even better performance from MSUs backcourt than we did this tournament.

Both remaining #1 seeds are trailing right now.

San Diego State leads Alabama 55-50 with about five minutes to go.

Miami (FL) leads Houston 47-36 early in the second half.

With Alabama's exit, the only #1 seed remaining is Houston...and the Tigers are getting run off the floor against the Miami Hurricanes. Miami leads 72-58 with about eight minutes remaining.

This is the first tournament without a #1 seed advancing to the elite eight. #5 seed Miami defeats #1 seed Houston 89-75.

New Mexico State is hring Sam Houston State Head Coach Jason Hooten to fill their vacancy at Head Coach.

Hooten has had six twenty win seasons with the Bearkats, and has made them one of the top programs in the Southland Conference (right up there with Utah Valley and Grand Canyon), but his past year includes a non-conference win over Utah and an NIT over Santa Clara, so he might well have earned this job based on those two wins alone, which are pretty good ones for a program like Sam Houston State.

I had Zags in one of my brackets winning anyways and they are the Midmajor that can win, coincidence Houston flopped and Final Four is in Houston

Hardly anyone picked Zags to win this yr, that's my conselation prize, if Zags lose today I go with Miami

Over in the Women's bracket, the UConn Huskies will miss their first Final Four since 2007 after falling to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Sweet Sixteen, 73-61.

It might be time for Geno Auriemma to retire, honestly.

This game is no thing of beauty, but it's wildly entertaining!

It's not midnight yet!

Florida Atlantic is heading to the Final Four after a thrilling 79-76 win over Kansas State.

The Owls are the first non-Gonzaga mid-major to make the Final Four since Wichita State's 2013 run.
