I wasn't a supporter of the "fire John Calipari" bandwagon, before tonight, but after Kentucky's 71-68 loss to South Carolina as twenty point home favorites, I've been convinced. Calipari's got to go.

Kentucky basically has no good wins. Their best wins are a home Michigan win that looks worse and worse each week, and a home win against Yale that only will look good if Yale wins the Ivy League.

They do have a win over LSU, but that's also at home, and LSU's strength is the product of the Tigers playing no one in their non-conference, not their own strength (their best result is a win against Wake Forest, which easily was their only notable opponent.)

The Wildcats are NIT bound, and that's unacceptable.

One ranked team has already lost tonight, and another is in big trouble.

Michigan State took down #18 Wisconsin, 69-65.

Meanwhile, over at Phog Allen Fieldhouse, bubbly Oklahoma leads #2 Kansas 67-61 midway through the second half, in what would be a huge win for the Sooners.

Kansas just put together a pretty impressive comeback to defeat Oklahoma 79-75.

There have been some reports that Texas has been in contact with John Calipari about the possibility of filling their coaching vacancy.  At last night's Kentucky-South Carolina game, a fan was ejected for holding up a sign that read 'Please Go To Texas' (lol).

I've never taken seriously any of the previous rumors about Calipari leaving UK, but it seems like this could be the most realistic possibility yet.  The fan base is growing increasingly unhappy with him.

I hope Calipari goes to Texas so that we can get the outcome that everyone wants, Rick Pitino coming home to Lexington.

It would be hilarious if Calipari went to Louisville.

Kentucky is about to wrap up a win at Tennessee in a game where the Volunteers missed about 600 layups (at least it seemed that way).

Six: #11 Kansas State lost at #17 TCU 82-68 (not really an upset, but the margin is surprising), and #19 Providence lost at Creighton 73-67.  Conference road games are tough!

Make it seven: Florida knocks off #20 Missouri in Gainesville, 73-64. The Gators, which were favored by five, even beat the spread.

Absolutely insane story. I immediately was reminded of the Baylor basketball scandal, which was centered on murder of forward Patrick Dennehy by teammate Carlton Dotson.

We have an upset in the Ivy League, as Dartmouth goes to Cambridge and defeats Harvard 60-59.

Harvard entered the game as ten point favorites.

An interesting one to watch tonight is #1 Houston at Tulane.  The Green Wave had a rough start to the season due to multiple injuries, but have played very well since getting healthy and are currently in second place in the AAC, a half-game behind Houston.  The Cougars are a 10-point favorite.

Kansas State is officially for real. The #13 Wildcats just took down #2 Kansas 83-82 in overtime, in Manhattan.

With their only losses being @Butler and @TCU, I wouldn't be shocked if Kansas State is #1 seed if they can win the Big Twelve regular season title and put together a nice run in the conference tournament.
