Walker will get better coverage because he does slightly better than expected, but the damage is already done. He might make up a point of the 3 he lost, but the race eventually goes back to where it is now by Election Day.

If Walker comes off as mentally unfit to be in the Senate (which he is) it could add to his woes.

Warnock is the heavy favorite, but his winning won't matter—never does. If Walker makes a huge gaffe however, that will matter and could be the nail in his campaign's coffin.

A major caveat here is that the expectations for Walker are so, so low—I literally don't think they could be lower—that he has an opportunity to shore up Republican confidence by not melting down.
