No. There is a 99% chance climate change is real and not believing in it does not automatically make one a bad person (they could just be seriously misinformed). There is a 100% chance the Holocaust happened and not believing it happened makes one a bad person in most cases (perhaps some are good people who are just gullible and have been duped by neo-Nazi misinformation/propaganda)

On balance, this is probably a reasonable position.

What surely remains the case, though, is that CCD should be more "discouraged" than it currently is.

Antonio the Sixth:
I do think deliberately spreading false scientific information (if it can be proven to be deliberate, of course) should be criminalized, yes. I don't know how else to prevent our complete collapse into a post-truth society at this point.

Lord Halifax:
Socially? Yes, definitely. Legally? Depends. It should be treated like a hate crime against humanity (the continued existence and well being of the human race), so if a country has hate crime legislation it should apply, if the country doesn't then there should be no legal consequences apart from a ban on spreading false scientific information.

Sol:
In the sense that it should be legal but insanely socially stigmatized, yes.

Ferguson97:
Yes. Those who espouse such beliefs should a) be protected by freedom of speech laws and b) routinely mocked, shamed, and derided by the rest of society.
