AROUND 11.30AM PRESIDENT DESANTIS MAKES HIS NEXT MOVE...
FOX NEWS White House Correspondent Peter Doocy during AMERICA'S NEWSROOM with Dana Perino & Bill Hemmer:
"Sorry to interrupt you Dana & Bill but President DeSantis just announced that he is nominating former Congressman Henry Bonilla of Texas as Ambassador to Mexico & former Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar (who lost to Congresswoman Cassy Garcia in 2022) as the Deputy Ambassador."

AROUND 2PM WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY KAYLEIGH MCENANY HOLDS HER DAILY PRESS BRIEFING
White House Press Secreary Kayleigh McEnany faced Questions about the new Ambassadors to Mexico as well as President DeSantis' Economic Team which many Pundits & former Economic Members in previous Administrations deem as too inexperienced.

AROUND 4PM THE BREAKING NEWS COMES IN BRINGING A SENSE OF RELIEF TO THE DESANTIS WHITE HOUSE...

White House Communications Director CHRISTINA PUSHAW releases Short Statement on Grenells Confirmation to the United Nations

„We are very thankful for the U.S. Senate in confirming former NSA Director & Ambassador to Germany Ric Grenell as Ambassador to the United Nations. @PRESIDENT STANTON,
That is an interesting move you made there on the MTP Round Table: Republican Strategist Al Cardenas is the Husband of frequent Contributor & Political Commentator Ana Navarro, who was very divisive during DeSantis tenure as Governor of Florida. Cardenas is a Floridian.
Equally interesting is to have Kate Bedingfield there. That is really the first time we have a high ranking Govtm Official of the Biden Administration there since DeSantis was inaugurated as President. I wonder what she is going to say. She seems more smart though than these MSNBC hacks. I am really curious now what happens this Sunday on this TL.

Friday February 21 2025
FRIDAY HAS STRUCK IN THE NATIONS CAPITAL...
Fridays are usually slow News Days in and around Washington but maybe not today?
ON FOX AND FRIENDS WITH AINSLEY EARHARDT, STEVE DOOCY AND BRIAN KILMAEDE FROM NEW YORK GRENELLS CONFIRMATIONS TO THE UN, THE NEW AMBASSADOR TO MEXICO & HIS DEPUTY AND THE PRESIDENTS ECONOMIC TEAM WAS DISSECTED...
Ainsley Earhardt: I want to bring to attention what DANA PERINO, Co-Host of the "FIVE" & former WH Press Secretary under George W. Bush said late afternoon yesterday answering a Question by Katie Pavlich.
Dana Perino: "To answer your Question Katie and I am bold on this: My guess is that Congress will pass a Border Security Bill in the next four weeks or so with massivly increased Law Enforcement Officials & Border Patrol Agents which will lift the burden of these Communities living at the border. It takes about I would guess 12-15 months to lower migration closer to the level before President Biden took office and then they will pass a larger Immigration Reform Bill in the summer of 2026. If they can get this done it could change the whole 2026 Campaign around and should Democrats be still opposed to this they will have to eat it. I am basing this on all the moves the new administration has made over the past 10 Days or so. There is also a lot of things we even didn't see in public. These conversations about border security & immigration reform took place even before President DeSantis was inaugurated. They are smart people from what I could gather from the outside looking in."
Brian Kilmaede: Also, here is what former Congressman Henry Cuellar of Texas, who has now been appointed as Deputy Ambassador to Mexico by President DeSantis, said in September 2022 after then Vice President Kamala Harris told Chuck Todd on MTP the border was secure: "The border is not secure, with all due respect to the VP. This — look, we get thousands of people along the border, from 6,000 to 8,000 people a day. They’re releasing people, and we can send you pictures and videos of what’s happened in Del Rio, the valley, El Paso and other places. People are coming in,
"We have 1.7 million people that were encountered last year. We’re going to have 2 or maybe 2.2 [million] by the end of this fiscal year in about two more weeks. That’s almost 4 million people," he warned. "That doesn’t even include the getaways. Getaways are the people that border patrol has a good idea that evaded them. So you’re talking about almost 4 plus, maybe 4.4 million individuals in two years."
"If you call that ‘secure,’ I don’t know what ‘secure’ is."

Democrats ignoring FACTS Kilmaede quipped to Earhardt & Doocy.

Also, the former Chairman of the National Council of Economic Advisors under President Trump, Larry Kudlow joined FOX & FRIENDS expressing concerns of the vastly inexperienced economic team of President DeSantis "Look Steve, maybe I am wrong on this but his Team does look somehow less experienced compared to the Team we have had."
Also, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who is a Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Cmte hit Democrats on their posturing, delay, scare and stall tactics when it came to confirming Ric Grenell to the UN. Rubio affirmed that he would vote to confirm Lagoa this afternoon.

MEANWHILE ON ABC'S GOOD MORNING AMERICA...
Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona said that quote "Speaker Scalise was I little bit too kind when he said last week that we had 5.8 to 6M Illegal Immigrants crossing our border during the Biden Administration. It's probably closer between 8-8.5M. Kelly said Lagoa had impeccable credentials and good judgement, exatly what we need to prosecute some of these cartels, smugglers and drug dealers trying to evade our country."

LATER IN THE MORNING...
The House Republican Caucus wrapped up it's week and minor business before heading to Virginia Beach, Virginia for their 3-Day Winter Retreat. Scalise, flanked by Majority Leader Banks, Majority Whip Ferguson and Conference Chairwoman Hinson, giving his Weekly Press Conference jokingly said: Senate Majority Leader Cornyn was way more busy these last four weeks so when we come back next week and the Presidents' Speech is done I return the favor and get more busy. (Drawing a laughter from Banks, Ferguson & Hinson").

VICE PRESIDENT HALEY HEADS TO THE STATE & LABOR DEPARTMENTS TO ADMINISTER THE OATH OF OFFICE FOR RIC GRENELL AND BLAKE MASTERS
Vice President Nikki Haley was busy as well this Morning administering the Oath of Office for Ric Grenell as Ambassador to the United Nations and Blake Masters as Secretary of the Labor Department after both were confirmed yesterday by the Senate.

THE WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES...
The White House announced around Noon that President Ron DeSantis would join his Wife Casey DeSantis, VP Nikki Haley and Virginia Governor Winsome Sears for the Republican House Caucus Winter Retreat in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
It will be the 1st Time President DeSantis will fly aboard AIR FORCE ONE as President of the United States of America. It is always a special moment when a new President does this for the first time.

And with that I am signing off for now and let President Stanton talk you through the Lagoa Senate Confirmation Smiley

LATER FRIDAY AROUND 3.30PMET WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES LAGOA TO BE SWORN IN TUESDAY
Brooke Baldwin: We've just received some BREAKING NEWS from White House Communications Director Christina Pushaw who just sent out a Statement that newly confirmed Attorney General BARBARA LAGOA will be sworn into Office on Tuesday ahead of President DeSantis' Speech to a Joint Session of Congress which is slated to take place on Wednesday.
The Reason for this Delay is that neither President DeSantis nor Vice President Haley will be in Washington this weekend as they will both travel to Virginia Beach, VA later this afternoon to join the Republican House Caucus for their Winter Retreat Meeting. DeSantis & Haley are slated to return to Washington on Monday.

DURING THE 5PM HOUR
Wolf Blitzer: What you are seeing her on this Split Screen are Marine One on the left and Air Force One on the right and you see of course the President, the First Lady, the Vice President and the 2nd Gentleman making their way towards Marine One as the embark from the White House. Marine One will take them towards Joint Base Andrews where they will board Air Force One to fly over to Virginia Beach, VA where they will join the Republican House Caucus for the Winter Meeting. Always a Special Moment for a new President when he takes his first flight out of Town. President DeSantis stayed largely in Washington for the last four weeks so this will be the first time he leaves the Capital. Let's see if he says something to Reporters before he boards the Helicopter.
WH Reporter: Mr President, how do you feel?
President Ron DeSantis: Very well. Think about this: My Cabinet got confirmed in record time. Never happened before. We'll have a great Celebration on Tuesday for Judge Barbara Lagoa as she gets sworn in as Attorney General. So tremendous success! We are all looking forward to that. But I've a plane to catch (LAUGHTER) so I see you on Monday Afternoon/Evening.

In the immediate Aftermath after the failed Ted Cruz' Nomination Speculation surrounded who would replace him with two Names frequently being mentioned, former SOCILITOR GENERAL under President Trump NOEL FRANCISCO as well as UNITED STATES JUDGE FOR THE 11TH COURT OF APPEALS BARBARA LAGOA, who won her Appointment as a Judge to the Federal Bench in 2019 by a resounding 80-15 Vote.

Monday February 25 2025
THE PRESIDENT IS BACK IN TOWN
President DeSantis returned to Washington Monday Afternoon from the Republican House Caucus Winter Retreat in Virginia Beach, Virginia a KEY AREA for the upcoming Gubernatorial Election in the State slated for this November. Virginia Beach is considered to be a swing area within the Commonwealth of Virginia as it voted for then Presidential Candidate Joe Biden in 2020 before giving now former Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin its Vote in 2021 as well as then Candidate Ron DeSantis during the 2024 Presidential Vote and newly elected Senator Jill Vogel. Republicans also picked off a Key House Seat with Rep. Jen Kiggans during the 2022 Midterm Elections.
The Suburbs in the Country were revolting under then President Trump but since came back strong for Republicans in 2022 & 2024.
As the Winter Retreat was closed to the Public we don't have any reaction what was said regarding the President Agenda and other stuff but it is common that House Members give the Media a little insight while speaking under the condition of anonymity so some House Members Reactions will roll in over the next few Days.

WHITE ANNOUNCES NEWLY CONFIRMED ATTORNEY GENERAL BARBARA LAGOA WILL HAVE A PRIVATE SWEARING AT THE HOOVER BUILDING TOMORROW MORNING AND A PUBLIC SWEARING TOMORROW NIGHT IN PRIME TIME IN THE EAST ROOM OF THE WHITE HOUSE
White House Communications Director Christina Pushaw notified the Press & Media for the Public swearing-in of Attorney General Barbara Lagoa this evening. The Swearing-In will commence at 8pm ET on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 in the East Room of the White House after a private swearing-in during an AM Ceremony in the Hoover Building.

And with that I am throwing it back to President Stanton Wink

@President Stanton,
That Interview with CoS Byron Donalds on MTP was really amazing. I couldn't have drawn up a better one. I likened the Balanced Budget Amendment Talk. That will probably one of the big topics in the Presidents Address to Congress.
Kate Bedingfield saying a Democrat should have been appointed as Attorney General ought to be a bit of a joke though.

I can't wait for his Address!

SOURCES: PRESIDENT DESANTIS TO USE TONIGHTS ADDRESS TO SENT A DEFIANT MESSAGE TO CHINA PRESIDENT XI JINGPING WHEN IT COMES TO TAIWAN, OTHER MATTERS
Sources close to the White House saying when it comes to National Security PRESIDENT DESANTIS is expected to issue a DEFIANT WARNING to China President Xi Jingping when it comes to Taiwan and other National Security matters concerning the two Countries, the United States and China.

AROUND 4.30PM: WHITE HOUSE RELEASES TOPICS PRESIDENT DESANTIS WILL TALK ABOUT IN TONIGHTS SPEECH
Jake Tapper: We just received some News on some of the Topics President DeSantis will touch tonight in his Speech to Congress:

  • Border Security/Immigration Reform
  • National Security/China/Russia
  • Economy/National Depth/Balanced Budget
  • COVID-Endemic/Other Executive Orders he already took as President

And with that I am throwing it to President Stanton for the Coverage & President DeSantis 1st Speech to Congress.

THE DAY AFTER
Thursday February 27 2025
ON GMA SINEMA & KELLY CONFIRM THEY WILL TRAVEL TO ARIZONA TODAY WITH THE PRESIDENT AS HOBBS SNUBS PRESIDENTIAL VISIT
This Morning on ABC'S GOOD MORNING AMERICA Arizona Senators Mark Kelly & Kyrsten Sinema confirmed to Robin Roberts & George Stephanopoulos, standing side-by-side in the Capitol Rotunda that they would travel with President DeSantis to their Home State of Arizona later today.
Kyrsten Sinema: We were given an advanced Invitation by the White House on Monday so we knew what was coming. We did not say anything because we did not want to preempt the Presidents' Speech to Congress yesterday night which I personally think was a very good one.
Mark Kelly: When we had the first formal talks on Border Security & Immigration Reform on February 12 I was pleading with the WH to visit the border as soon as practically possible. It's always better when you see for yourself with your own eyes what's happening.
George Stephanopoulos: We've heard a lot of rhetoric last Night from the President when it comes to border security but very few specifics. Isn't that just kicking the can down the road?
Kyrsten Sinema: I don't think so George. The President has put 3 very qualified people in charge of border security with VP Haley, Homeland Secretary Gimenez and AG Lagoa. Think about this: VP Haley is a Daughter of Indian Immigrants. She understands the subject of Immigration. I couldn't think of a more qualified person to be in charge of such a Team.
Mark Kelly: I agree with Kyrsten! Also, George as President you can't just put everything in one basket. You have a lot of other important things to cover and in my opinion past Presidents have overloaded themselves and often lost sight of the bigger picture. Former President Biden tried to change that by putting former VP Harris in charge of the border. Unfortunately for all of us she wasn't up to the job and I think VP Haley will be.
George Stephanopoulos: Thank You both Senators!

Meanwhile the Governors Office of Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs released a Statement that she won't be able to attend the Presidents Visit.

President DeSantis as well as Senators Sinema & Kelly will be greeted by other Arizona Officeholders though.

LATER THURSDAY: VP HALEY'S CoS STEPHANIE GRISHAM CONFIRMED HALEY, HOMELAND SECRETARY GIMENEZ, ATTORNEY GENERAL LAGOA TO TOUR BORDER STATE NEXT WEEK WITH DATE & STATE TBD
Around Midday on Thursday Vice President Haley's Chief of Staff Stephanie Grisham confirmed to CNN that the Vice President Haley is planning to tour the Border next week with the State & Date to be determined alongside Homeland Secretary Gimenez & Attorney General Lagoa.

SINEMA, KELLY FIRE BACK AT SCHUMER BEFORE BOARDING AIR FORCE ONE AT JOINT BASE ANDREWS EN ROUTE TO ARIZONA
Arizona Senators Sinema & Kelly, awaiting the arrival of President DeSantis at Joint Base Andrews briefly talked with Reporters and fired back at Schumer with Sinema claiming quote "The Senate Minority Leader has not visisted the Southern Border in 10 years. If my memory is correct the last time he did it was when former President Obama was still President. I am sure you have some fact checkers to check it.". Senator Kelly was seen noding his head in Approval.

Afternoon of Thursday February 27 2025
HOUSE TO BEGIN FORMAL BUDGET TALKS WITH PRESIDENT DESANTIS' ECONOMIC TEAM
While President DeSantis was on his way to Arizona via Illinois House Speaker Steve Scalise announced that the House will begin fomal Talks with the Presidents' Economic Team including Treasury Secretary David McCormick, Chairman of the Council on National Economic Advisors Stephen Moore and the Director of the Office of Management & Budget Pete Peterson.

I feel like DeSantis is stepping into a huge minefield by trying to deal with immigration. The Republican base (i.e the voters that elected him) want to get rid immigration altogether, while the donors who donated to him want more, cheap immigrants. He can't please both groups simulteanously.

If I were him, I'd have picked a different issue (maybe something like police reform, which actually can be done bipartisan, if DeSantis is interested in sending a proposal. Someone like Tim Scott could draft it, and someone like Anthony D'Esposito or Andrew Garbarino could introduce it in the House, and possibly someone like Kyrsten Sinema or Daniel Cameron could introduce it in the Senate.)..
DeSantis won 48 % of the Hispanic Vote during the 2024 Presidential Election. Minefield or not he had to deal with that Issue given the support he got.

REPUBLICANS CURRENTLY HOLD 31 GOVERNORSHIPS
DEMOCRATS CURRENTLY HOLD 19 GOVERNORSHIPS

THE REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCED TODAY, FEBRUARY 27 2025 THAT IT WILL HOLD ITS ANNUAL GENERAL WINTER MEETING IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA FROM MARCH 7-9 2025 WHILE THE DEMOCRATIC GOVERNORS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCED ITS MEETING WILL BE IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN FROM MARCH 14-16 2025
Spokesperson for the RGA today announced that it will holds its Annual General Winter Meeting during the 2nd Week of March (7-9) in Los Angeles, California in another indication that the Golden State might be in play next year. It could also prove to be a boost for Rep. Young Kim, who announced an Exploratory Committee for a Governor Run a week ago. Sources say the leading Candidate to be elected RGA Chair appears to be newly elected North Carolina Governor Mark Robinson. Robinson though seems to have competition from two Women, Oregon Governor Christine Drazan and Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee-Sanders. Private Polling for the RGA shows Kim in a competitive Race against all Statewide Officeholders in CA with Governor Newsoms Job Approval Rating cratering down to 33 %, similarly what former Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger had when he left Office in 2010.

Meanwhile their Democratic Counterparts, the DGA announced their Winter Meeting would be held in Detroit, Michigan from March 14-16 2025. A Spokesperson for the DGA said defeating Michigan Governor Tudor Dixon is a Top Priority in 2026. Early private Polling shows Dixon in a competitive Race against Secretary of State Joyceln Benson & Rep. Haley Stevens. The Polling however did show that former Governor Gretchen Whitmer would trail Dixon by high single to low double digits which might explain why Whitmer already announced that she would not seek a Rematch with Dixon.

NEW MEXICO GOVERNOR RACE 2026
WITH TRUMP NOT AN IMMEDIATE FACTOR ANYMORE A COMEBACK FOR SUSANA MARTINEZ?
Sources in New Mexico are claiming that with former President Trump not an immediate factor anymore and the Border Issue taking such a big role former New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez might be looking at a Comeback. Other Candidates looking at the Race are Rep. Yvette Herrell and former New Mexico Lieutenant Governor John Sanchez. Current Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is termed out and cannot run for Re-Election.

@President Stanton,
Mike Garcia running would not be a very smart move as both, Kim & Garcia come from almost the same Region, Garcia District lies in LA County, Kims in Orange County. They could be splitting the Vote too much so that they both get locked out of the Top 2 Primary.

The only reason Garcia is probably considering a Governor Run is because his Congressional Seat gets targetted every two years.

Friday February 28 2025
CNN STARTS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28 2025 WITH A SOMBER TONE IN THEIR VOICE AS IT BIDS FAREWELL TO THEIR STALWART ANCHOR WOLF BLITZER
CNN „NEW DAWN FOR AMERICA“ Anchors Aliysn Camerota & John Berman started their Morning Show with a somber tone in their voice as the Network will bid farewell to its Stalwart News Anchor Wolf Blitzer.

STATEMENT BY CNN CEO CHRIS LICHT
„Dear Wolf
It has been an absolute honour & privilige to work with you over the last three years. You will leave an incredible void to fill for us all here at CNN. Your legacy will be long lasting beyond your time here at CNN.“

Licht took over for Jeff Zucker in 2021.

TRIBUTES ALREADY POORING FROM OTHER NEWS NETWORKS & ORGANIZATIONS
NBC's Andrea Mitchell says:„This feels remisent of 2008“ when NBC NEWS as a Network unexpectedly lost their stalwart MEET THE PRESS Anchor Tim Russert.

FOX NEWS Bill Hemmer calls when he met Blitzer for the first time „He wasn't just a News Anchor. This was a person destinated for greatness.“ Blitzer was already Chief Washington Correspondent when Hemmer worked at the Network.

FOX, NBC, CBS & ABC ANNOUNCE TRIBUTES TO BLITZER DURING THEIR PRIME TIME SHOWS ON FRIDAY
FOX NEWS, NBC NEWS, CBS NEWS & ABC NEWS announced that they would play 3-5 Minutes of Tributes to the longtime CNN Anchor during their Prime Time Shows Friday.

UNRELATED TO BLITZER CNN HAS ALREADY MADE SOME INTERNAL MOVES ASSINGNING KAITLAN COLLINS TO THE TRAVELLING WHITE HOUSE PRESS CORPS AND CECILIA VEGA AS CHIEF WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT FOR THE NETWORK
CNN Source: „Cecilia Vega is an incredibly gifted Individual. We're glad to have her. She knows her ways around the White House having been Chief White House Correspondent for ABC during both, the Trump and the Biden Administration.“
Vega announced her Departure at the end of ABC's Inauguration Coverage. Speculation surrounding her immediate future was that she would join CNN to replace disgraced former WH Correspondent John Harwood who left the Network in 2022.
CNN had been underrepresented in the WH during the 2022 & 2024 Campaigns with various Correspondents filling in for Harwood.

Vega was first seen in her new Role as CNN's Chief White House Correspondent during the Networks Coverage of President DeSantis Prime Time Speech to Congress on Wednesday.

@SaintStan86,
Has President DeSantis signed anymore Executive Orders aside from the 3 you mentioned after the Inaugural Address?

I have no clue whom to nominate as FBI Director. Lagoa is on track to become one of the Stars of the Administration so I don't want her to get kneecapped! Probably the Reason DeSantis hasn't announced that Appointment.

As far as ELON MUSK & RICHARD BRANSON. They have competition as the Boing Starliner is probably operational by 2025.

Given the consistent DELAYS in the Artemis-1 Mission I am not sure when to schedule a Moon Mission. Probably during Q3 or Q4 of 2025 at the earliest.

@SaintStan86, my perfect choice for Director of the F.B.I. should be David Bowdich; formerly Deputy Director of the F.B.I. under Trump.
That would be a bad choice. No more Trump Alums. It would also potentially undermine Lagoas work.

@President Stanton
Lagoa has actually been in Office less than a week. Inaugurated February 25, Wray likely to resign Monday.

Looking foward to your Sunday Show Recap.

BIG WEEK ahead for Nikki Haley, Carlos Gimenez and Barbara Lagoa as they visit the border this upcoming week, likely Texas.

@President Stanton,
Kamala Harris though is probably the only Candidate who at this moment in time could safe the California Governorship for the Democrats, the only Candidate who could beat Young Kim and Mike Garcia. The other CA DEM Statewide Officeholders can easily be tied to the bad Leadership of Governor Newsom.

Young Kim was considered a rising Republican Superstar even before DeSantis made any moves to run for POTUS given that she only lost to Cisneros by a couple of Points in 2018 in a D-Wave Year. If Young Kim is the Republican Nominee for CA Governor in 2026, Democrats will have a tough time regardless of the Overall Political Environment in 2026.

@President Stanton,
I think we should put a Virginia Constitutional Amendment on the Ballot this November. Every State in the Country can have a Governor with 2 Terms except Virginia. Let the Voters decide if they want to let their Governors to serve 2-Terms in the future. I am thinking about this a lot.

If such an Amendment passes then Winsome Sears could actually run again 2029.

@2016, what is the process in Virginia for placing such a proposal on the ballot? Is there actual
support in Virginia for such a proposal? Might Democrats oppose it, if it is seen yo benefit Sears
After the April 22, might have to speed up the TL, and move it forward to August and just revise the events which occurred over the Summer, what do you think?
Two big Issues for the DeSantis Presidency, Border Security/Immigration and the Balanced Budget Amendment. These two items DeSantis absolutely MUST HAVE in his first year. I think Border/Immigration will be split in two bills though with the Border Security Bill likely to be on tap before the DeSantis Presidency hits 100 Days and the actual Immigration Reform Bill in the Summer of 2026 after Borders are secured to punt the DEMS ahead of the Midterms.

I would keep the TL as it is now because there will be a lot of other Stuff in between like NATO & G7 Summits. DeSantis will likely spent a good chuck in May/June overseas.

There will be Campaign 2026 Announcements. We've the TX-5 & UT-2 Special Elections + VA & NJ Primaries to cover.

Monday March 3 2025
IN ANOTHER BLOW TO SENATE MINORITY LEADER SCHUMER WHEN IT COMES TO THE ISSUE OF BORDER SECURITY COLORADO SENATOR JOHN HICKENLOOPER ANNOUNCES HE WILL SUPPORT SENATORS SINEMA & KELLY TO SECURE THE SOUTHERN BORDER TO MEXICO. HICKENLOOPER IS EVEN SUGGESTING LETTING BORDER PATROL AGENTS TESTIFY BEFORE CONGRESS
In another huge blow to Democratic Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-New York) Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper released a Statement via his Senate Office this morning that he will back Senators Sinema & Kelly to secure the Nations Southern Border to Mexico quote „I can't stay silent when the Democratic Leader is questioning the seriousness at the southern border. Border Security affects my Home State of Colorado as well. I look forward working with the White House, Senators Sinema, Kelly as well as Senator Rubio on meaningful border security & subsequent Immigration Reform“.
Hickenlooper is even suggesting letting Border Patrol Agents potentially testifying before Congress in a Hearing. „That's absolutely on the Table“ he tells CNN's Congressional Correspondent Manu Raju.
Hickenlooper added quote „If we can have CLOSED DOOR Intelligence Hearings we surely can have a Hearing to let these brave Men & Women who are fighting at our Southern Border testify what's going down there and then every Senator can make an educated guess what to do with it.“

WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES LIST WHO WILL TRAVEL WITH VP HALEY & THE BORDER SECURITY TEAM (CARLOS GIMENEZ, BARBARA LAGOA) TO TEXAS ON WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY TO VISIT THE SOUTHERN BORDER

  • Rep. Cassandra „Cassy“ Garcia
  • Rep. Monica de la Cruz-Hernandez
  • Rep. Mayra Flores
  • Rep. Morgan Cisneros Graham
  • Rep. Tony Gonzalez
  • Former Rep. Henry Cuellar
  • Florida Senator Marco Rubio

The Team will also be accompanied by various Texas Officials including Governor Greg Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

WHITE HOUSE ECONOMIC TEAM & REPUBLICAN HOUSE LEADERSHIP BEGIN FIRST FORMAL TALKS IN ADOPTING A „BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT“
This Monday also saw the White House Economic Team consisting of Chair of National Economic Advisors Stephen Moore, Director of the Office of Management & Budget Pete Peterson and Treasury Secretary David McCormick begin its Formal Talks with the Republican House Leadership consisting of House Speaker Steve Scalise, House Majority Leader Jim Banks, House Majority Whip Drew Ferguson and Republican House Conference Chairwoman Ashley Hinson in adopting a „BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT“. The Balanced Budget is one of the KEY MILESTONES in President DeSantis Economic Agenda.

CNN CHIEF WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT CECILIA VEGA: „NOT A SHOCK MARK GLASS & SANDY KARSTEN WERE NOMINATED AS FBI & DEPUTY FBI DIRECTOR“; AS FAR AS THE BALANCED BUDGET IS CONCERNED „DON'T EXPECT A QUICK SOLUTION. IT TAKES TIME TO CRAFT IT“...
CNN's new Chief White House Correspondent Cecilia Vega speaking to Interim Situation Room Anchor ANA CABRERA during the early evening form the White House North Lawn:
CECILIA VEGA: „Look Ana, it's not a shock that the President nominated someone as Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Mark Glass who he knows very well. That's becoming a common theme with this President. The Nomination of Sandy Karsten isn't a huge surprise either. I would say the DOJ, FBI & Homeland Security lost the most trust during the Trump & Biden Administrations and this is very much about restoring the faith & trust in the American Public & and in these Instituations.
And one more thing Ana, President DeSantis spoke to Florida Governor Jeanette Nuñez, whom he knows very well, informing her of his Decision to nominate Glass. So this is all done by mutual consent.“

ANA CABRERA: What about the Meeting the Presidents Economic Team had with the House Leadership regarding a potential Balanced Budget Amendment?
CECILIA VEGA: „Yes Ana, they did meet today but these were just the first formal talks on this subject. Don't expect a quick solution to this. It will obviously take some time to craft such a bill.“
ANA CABRERA: What about the Southern Border Issue?
CECILIA VEGA: „Well, as you may know already this Morning a 3rd Democratic Senator, John Hickenlooper of Colorado announced that he would back his two colleagues, Senators Sinema & Kelly in their efforts to secure the southern border and subsequent Immigration Reform. Hickenlooper was even suggesting to have a CLOSED DOOR Hearing where border patrol agents could testify about the situation before Congress. The reason it would be a closed door session is that there will almost certainly be some sensitive material and they don't want to put these agents at risk. However I don't expect any moves by the Senate or the House on that issue until VP Haley has returned from her border trip on Wednesday and Thursday. The consensus is though that a Border Security Bill will be introduced in either the Senate or the House in the not to distant future“.
ANA CABRERA: Thank You Cecilia for your reporting!
CECILIA VEGA: „Any time Ana!“

TUESDAY MARCH 4 2025
CNN BREAKING NEWS
VICE PRESIDENT HALEY TO GO ON DIPLOMATIC TRIP TO ASIA LATER THIS MONTH AMID CHINA/TAIWAN TENSIONS WHITE HOUSE ANNOUNCES SOURCES TELLING CNN

Followed by President DeSantis' Speech to Congress last week where China/Taiwan had been frequently mentioned by the President the White House announced that Vice President NIKKI HALEY will go on a Diplomatic Trip to Asia later this month. This Trip is primarily to reassure allies in the region.

White House Communications Director CHRISTINA PUSHAW releases Statement on VP Haleys upcoming Diplomatic Trip to Asia

„This upcoming trip by the Vice President is primarily to reassure our allies in Asia. As the President said in his Speech to Congress last week. We're not going to be intimidated by President Xi or Chinas Foreign Affairs Ministry and Department. It's important to strengthen our Diplomatic Relations with our longtime Asian Allies to put up a big large front so that China should think twice about their next moves. President DeSantis will himself visit Asia later this year and this just a prelude to it.
We are also incredibly thankful to have the support and backing of three former Presidents on this: Former President George W. Bush, Former President Barack H. Obama and Former President Joseph R. Biden Jr..“

VP HALEY'S ASIAN STOPOVERS MARCH 20-29 2025

  • TOKYO, JAPAN
  • SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA
  • MANILA, PHILLPINES
  • BANGKOK, THAILAND
  • SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE
  • KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
  • JAKARTA, INDONESIA
  • SYDNEY/CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA

It's unclear at this Point whether the Vice President will be on her own or being accompanied by Secretary of State Robert O'Brien & National Security Advisor Dina Powell-McCormick as Arrangements with the State Department are still being finalized.

JIM SCIUTTO: There you have it, the Vice President will be on the Road overseas in a few weeks time. Let's now go to CNN's State Department Correspondent Michelle Kosinski for some reaction.
MICHELLE KOSINSKI, CNN STATE DEPARTMENT CORRESPONDENT: „This doesn't surprise me at all Jim. If you may recall Secretary of State O'Brien, National Security Advisor Powell-McCormick and Secretary of Defense Braithwaite were all sworn in into Office the same Day. They were probably all awaiting whether Grenell would be confirmed as Ambassador to the UN before announcing this trip. I also have to say that this in line what President DeSantis outlined last week in his Speech. If the United States can strengthen their Diplomatic Ties with their Asian Partners China President Xi will think twice in making any more moves towards Taiwan. A trip like this is also precisely the reason why then Governor & Presidential Candidate DeSantis picked Nikki Haley as his Running Mate given her ties to the UN and her diplomatic, foreign policy credentials. It's also one of the more rare times I can remember over the last few years Republicans & Democrats are on the same page in this town. The rousing Ovation for the President during his Speech last week when he mentioned China & Taiwan backs that up. There wasn't one Member of Congress sitting in the House Chamber last week during the China/Taiwan Segment.
It should also be mentioned that President DeSantis has the backing of three former Presidents, two of them are Democrats, on this.“

This will be the 1st Diplomatic Trip by either President DeSantis or Vice President Haley overseas.

And with that I am tossing it back to President Stanton

Vice President Nikki Haley will head to the Southern Border today with an expanded list of Stops and Elected Officials along with Secretary of Homeland Security Carlos Gimenez and Attorney General Barbara Lagoa.

On Monday, March 3rd it was reported that these seven elected Officials would join the VP on her trip to Texas:

  • Rep. Cassandra „Cassy“ Garcia
  • Rep. Monica de la Cruz-Hernandez
  • Rep. Mayra Flores
  • Rep. Morgan Cisneros Graham
  • Rep. Tony Gonzalez
  • Former Rep. Henry Cuellar
  • Florida Senator Marco Rubio

Since then Senators Dan Cranshaw of Texas and John Hickenlooper of Colorado have been added to that List. VP Haley will also make a trip to the Border State of Arizona that was visited by President DeSantis last week. Senators Kyrsten Sinema & Mark Kelly are still in their Home State and all are expected to return to Washington during the Friday AM Hours.
As outlined by the Vice Presidents Chief of Staff Stephanie Grisham this trip will have no photo ops for the Media. The purpose of this trip is to hear first hand from border patrol agents & residents living along border communities. The VP will have plenty to say about it in the Days to come.

UPDATE
VP Haley's Press Secretary Hope Hicks announced that New Mexico has also being added as stop. Governor Michelle Luján Grisham, in a stark contrast to her Democratic Colleague from Arizona, Governor Katie Hobbs, sent out invitations to the Vice President and her Team along with Senators Ben Ray Luján & Mark Ronchetti.

CNN REPORTER SHOCKED ABOUT SITUATION AT THE ARIZONA BORDER
CNN Reporter KAITLAN COLLINS, who is now part of the White House travelling Press Corps was in shock after seeing the situation at the Arizona Border „I wouldn't have believed it, had I not seen the extent of how bad things actually are, I had assumed that people were over dramatizing matters, I'm afraid they are not.“

Still in Arizona...
HEAVY CRITSISM DIRECTED AT ARIZONA GOVERNOR KATIE HOBBS...
Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee, who could be a potential Gubernatorial Candidate in 2026, directed heavy critisism towards the Governor of her State: „The Governor turned a blind eye on the situation at our border despite numerous warnings. Why do we have a Governor then? Sometimes if you don't get help from the Federal Govtm. you have to take matters in your own hand. All what she had to do was ask me and I would have provided help as much as I could funding border security, border patrol agents, etc.“

Evening in Arizona...
NIKKI HALEY IN HER OWN WORDS BEFORE BOARDING AIR FORCE TWO EN ROUTE TO LAS CRUCES/WHITE SANDS, NEW MEXICO
„This Administration will turn not a blind eye on the problems we are facing as Country! We will bring help as soon as we humanly possible can!“

FLORIDA SENATOR MARCO RUBIO PREDICTS AS HE TOO LEAVES ARIZONA FOR NEW MEXICO...
Florida Senator Marco Rubio predicts as he too boarded Air Force Two that quote:„Many more of my Democratic Colleagues accross the aisle will join the Administrations' Effort to secure our Southern Border after the Vice President has presented her Report to the President & Congress. It is going to take at least a year to clean up the over capacity border communities no matter how fast Congress moves on this. What we need is a Border Security Bill and in that at least around 80,000 - 90,000 new border patrol agents, background checks on those who already migrated into our country and permission for the Department of Justice to crack down these Smugglers, Cartels, etc who are making our communities here at the border less safe. We are all working on that. Once that all is done we can look & craft Immigration Reform and overhaul the System. Finally our border patrol friends on the other side in Mexico have to pony up some security as well.“
