According to Statements by their respective Congressional Offices Rep. Young Kim and Rep. Mike Garcia will hold a Joint Campaign Kick-Off Event in San Francisco this weekend where both will talk about the border at length as well as the North Korea Nuclear Threat.
Political Operatives in California on both Sides have now acknowledged that the State's Open Governor Race and other Statewide Offices could be in play next year and they say the reason is "ALL OF THE ABOVE". When asked to clarify they cited "Low Approvals by the Governor, the Border Crisis and the Nuclear Threat and general unrest in Asia." which could all lead to a perfect storm to flip the State next year.

BREAKING NEWS! REPORTS ARE COMING IN OF A MISSILE ATTACK ON SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

Hi this is Bret Baier of Fox News, here in Washington, we are learning that Seoul, South Korea  was under fire a few moments ago, it appears that a Missile missed the city, disappearing into the Sea of Japan. We have footage from an amateur video recording, and as you can see the missile flies overhead.

I have with me in our studio, Jennifer Griffin who has been following this story ever since this crisis began and of course, Jack Keane. First of all to you, Jennifer, what's the latest you're hearing?
Griffin : From what I am learning Bret, is that this incident is consistent with what occurred and they have concluded that the North Korea military is not fully in control of their missile systems and gives an indication that this North Korea Jihad has failed to obtain the arming protocols for these missiles. One thing that the Pentagon concludes that this group can launch these missiles, but beyond that, they don't have the necessary know how.
Baier : Jack Keane, your thoughts?
Keane : Apparently if this is North Korea's military, it would be out of character, for this to occur, it's not part of their  playbook and I am given to believe the idea, that if this is the handiwork of this North Korea Jihad, why no claim of responsibility or demands? It must be concluded that their objectives haven't been achieved, so there is likely going  to be no claim of responsibility.
Baier : Jennifer, have the Pentagon given you any updates of any other deployments?
Griffin : No further updates, Bret, and until they are comfortable with their preparedness, we can expect that the Pentagon will not be making any announcements anytime soon.
Baier : Jennifer, as we now know Chinese missiles are likely to have caused a great deal
of damage to North Korea's military facilities, any indication how bad this damage was?
Griffin : All the Pentagon or the CIA can say with a degree of certainty, is North Korea's Missile program sustained damage on a wide scale, but beyond neither will expand on the extent of this damage.

ABC LIVE NEWS ANCHOR LINSEY DAVIS: We have BREAKING NEWS and very disturbing News out Pyongyang. What are you seeing right now is the Presidential Palace in Pyongyang - a big fire, lots of smoke. Unclear right now if this CHINA (which I think is doubtful) or the North Korea Jihad Group. Reports are the Palace has been hit by 3 Cruise Missiles. It's also unclear if President Kim Jong-un was inside. As you are already know we have been reporting since last weekend that the North Korea Jihad Group is trying to get control of North Korea. It looks very much like things spiraling out of control very quickly in that Country.

'Good evening everyone, I would like to address you tonight on those developments which have occurred in the past few day's and what we are learning and these events will mean.

So now to what these events will mean, firstly is that we have on standby in the Sea of Japan, two carrier groups, the Nimitz and Reagan and a few minutes ago, I gave authorization for military operations to commence against specific North Korean military targets, these actions are necessitated by the dangers to civilians in an around Seoul, and we now understand that with the existence of nuclear stockpile very much in the balance, the choice is clear, thank you and God bless our men and women in uniform. THURSDAY APRIL 10 2025:

US INFLICT HEAVY DAMAGE IN OVERNIGHT BOMBING RUNS.
F-18 Hornet aircraft were deployed from the aircraft carrier's Nimitz and Reagan  and inflicted severe damage, destroying one of North Korea's premier air defense facility  at Musadan-ri, Kittaeryöng, Kalgol-dong, Panghyon Airport, Okp' yōng-dong, Pongdong and and Chia-ri.
Two B-2s, based on Diego Garcia, are also believed to participated in the attack.
According to latest intelligence reports, Chinese missiles have already destroyed Sakkonmol Missile Operating Base and Sil-Li.
At a briefing following the raids, the Commander of the Indo-Pacific Command, Admiral Samuel Paparo , referred to the raid, "...as sufficiently successful, that we've rendered the ability of any actors within the North Korean military command structure to cause any more destruction".
Pilots inavolved in the Air assaults, report that air defense activity was neglible to non-existent at best.

INDICATES MORE AIR ASSAULTS WILL BE NECESSARY : In his daily briefing, Kenneth Braithwaite admitted, "....While we did manage to destroy most of the targets, it will be necessary to authorize more air assaults, but so far we are encouraged.."



The Defense Secretary, expanded on this particular point, "...By eliminating the use of those bases, used to attack either Seoul or Yokota, our air assets have greatly diminished North Korea Jihad to create terror, however we need to ensure that this group no longer represents a danger to anyone else..."

INTELLIGENCE SOURCES INDICATE THAT NORTH KOREA HAD STOCKPILES OF WMD...MEANING BOTH BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL WEAPONS : Sources within both the British and U.S. Intelligence community are now confirming that Kim Jong-Un possessed both biological and chemical weapons. "If this is true, then the President has no alternative but to commit ground forces and other assets into North Korea!" There was more overnight aerial bombardment of more North Korean missile sites, the most severe damage inflicted, according to Intelligence sources, were at the following locations of Pukchang, Panghyon,  Kusong and Changang - where there's a vast majority of weapons factories and nuclear weapon facilities. Most of the air assaults were conducted by F/A-18E/F_Super_Hornets and F-35 Lightning II aircrafts.

After meeting with State Department & Intelligence Officials Homeland Security Secretary CARLOS GIMENEZ announced that the United States of America will be put on Security Alert Level 3 for the next four to six weeks which means increased surveillance on Airports, Ports and Border Checkpoints.
This follows a similar procedure what happened after the 9/11 Attacks in September 2001.

Meanwhile, will be interesting to see what kind of international response in regards to South Korea has emerged, particularly from the purview of peace. I can imagine all kinds of social media filters in the mold of #PrayForKorea and #PeaceForKorea, hope of a unified Korea, etc. emerging as both the radicals in North Korea as well as the U.S. and China are coming together to fight a radical jihadist sect. Will also be interesting to see how DeSantis broaches this matter in regards to the Muslim vote, particularly given the radical shift of the Muslim vote after 9/11, having gone from 60 percent for George W. Bush in 2000 to overwhelmingly in favor of John Kerry in 2004.

As for Harris, wow...The Democrats will have to ditch their woke wing if they have any chance of making gains in 2026 and 2028. If Congress did in fact authorize military strikes in response to Yokota and a credible terror cell is lurking in North Korea, then Harris deserves to be expelled to the fringes of the political sphere. Americans don't want endless wars, but even Reagan and Trump had short-term military excursions in the name of national security. The ultra-Code Pink mentality, a la Jeannette Rankin, certainly doesn't bode well in this matter, and it wouldn't surprise me if Harris merely came of age politically because of the rabid opposition to the War in Iraq and War on Terror on the left that vaulted Obama into the White House nearly two decades ago. (Many on the right eventually came to oppose it as well, but I don't think becoming radical peaceniks that oppose any kind of foreign intervention or treaties was the M.O. they sought all along.)

Lastly, what does Donald Trump think of this move, and what does Tucker Carlson have to say as well given their opposition to endless wars? Certainly the GOP has to walk a fine line between advocating for a strong national defense and not backpedaling into the sort of neoconservative "war at all costs" mentality that repulsed many Americans in the long run.

@SaintStan86, I think if Trump raises his head above the parapet, with regards to North Korea's descent into anarchy, I think even he can't be so wrapped up in the fiction, in which his outreach to Kim Jong-Un yielded only marginal results and not all of them good. Trump's precious summit photo  ops won't have aged well in light of what has so far occurred, even he surely understands inaction would be disastrous. As for Tucker Carlson, he must recognize in light of what is now occurring, DeSantis simply has no choice. I don't think beyond the moment of clarity over Yokota and the chaos to which North Korea has descended into, Democrats have changed, its politically expedient to support DeSantis, and only as long as political convenience allows; see how quickly Padilla, Warren and the squad were thrown under the bus. As for Harris, her Anti-Border security stance, is not a good position to embrace, if she's trying to regain political relevance. I now think because Border security is either off the table or deemed less important, Harris will get this idea in her head, that since North Korea Jihad is the new bright shiny object, she can now look at the Governorship of California as a better prospect. However considering how Harris's political touch is questionable at the best of times, I see her getting screwed the way Pat Brown screwed Nixon in 1962. I am thinking what an exquisite way to end one's political future prospects. I think DeSantis overall objective is to ensure that North Korea Jihad doesn't have nuclear weapons capability or that the WMD are no longer of concern and that Jihad doesn't have access to them. @2016, all I can say is ditto, you pretty much said it all. I think especially with the ramifications for NK having a negative impact on the Democratic brand in the near term (Ciatarelli in New Jersey and Sears in Virginia will most certainly capitalize on NK, by painting their Democratic as personally culpable for being weak on Border security and secretly aligned with North Korea Jihad. As for the midterms 12 months later, you can bet immigration reform will be the big ticket item and the RNC , will likely use immigration as a wedge issue and link it to Border security. As for North Korea, China will insist that it  becomes a non aligned as Finland and Austria were. After a 30-year Career in Politics Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen announced her Retirement this Morning in Manchester, New Hampshire. Shaheen was elected as Governor of New Hampshire in 1996 and was briefly considered as a potential Vice Presidential Running Mate for then Vice President Al Gore after winning Re-Election as Governor in 1998. Shaheen lost to Congressman John E. Sununu in 2002 in the aftermath of the 9/11 Attacks, where Republicans made gains in the House & Senate.
Shaheen then beat Senator Sununu in the 2008 Obama landslide and got subsequently reelected in 2014 and 2020.
Shaheens Retirement marks the first Official Senate Retirement of the 2026 Election Cycle.
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu is widely expected to enter the Race giving Republicans a Prime Pick Up Opportunity in the Upper Chamber.

"Good morning, if it's Meet The Press, it's Sunday, I have with me today, Senator's  Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) , they are the Co-Authors of what could be the most consequential piece of legislation to emerge from the Senate in a generation and it deals with Border Security, Senator's welcome to Meet The  Press, Senator Sinema , I'll start with you, a few days ago, you responded to remark made by Former Vice President, Kamala Harris , in which she criticized Senator Rubio on thr border,

Todd : You obviously have a problem the Vice President's statement, and her position on the border, share with us, your thoughts.
Sinema : I would ordinarily agree with Vice  President Harris , but on the border, there are fundamental differences that exist, especially over how she has consistently dismissed or belittled the importance of the problems, and the systemic indifference during her time as Vice President, when she declared that there was no problems down there, I think Chuck, 8.5 million people crossing our southern border illegally can hardly be called as "not a  problem".
Todd : Senator Rubio ?
Rubio : Chuck, the issue of a border that we share with another country for nearly 2,000 miles were we have institutional failure is beyond the pale, the same standards at all our recognized ports of entry, are not and have not been met at the southern border, so much so, it is a national joke, and when Kyrsten says 8.5 million migrants are crossing our southern border, she is being too kind.
Todd : A follow up question Senator, a fellow  Floridian, the Secretary of Homeland Security, Carlos Gimenez , last week ordered a tightening of security levels at all airports and other points of entry, it must be presumed that the urgency you cite for ramping up security along the Southern border to be commensurate with those reasons made by Secretary  Gimenez .
Rubio : It is Chuck, unless anyone has been living in a cave, what has occurred in North Korea over the last couple of day's, plus the emergence of North Korea Jihad, to be an actor that could use terrorist methods, especially in our country on a par  with or worse than 9/11, that is why we need to fast track security at our southern border, I recommend that the President use executive action, that reflects the key points of our bill, and I urge anyone who shares our concerns to go to the Border Security website and anyone can see how our recommendations are common sense.
Todd : Senator Sinema ,, the differences between you and many of your party colleagues, is as clear as night and day. Is Border Security the only area of difference?
Sinema : Chuck let's just stay focused on Border security, its something that both Senator's Bennet , as well as Hickenlooper , Kelly and Lujan , know about first hand and if we are able to secure our southern border and address the appalling inequities within our Immigration system, and stop using these two national concerns as political cudgels.

Welcome all, Peggy I'd like to start with the President's upcoming speech, he's about to identify our involvement in what is fast becoming a messy military conflict, what does he need to do?
Noonan : I think the president will do what he has done so far done, and communicated his thoughts in his unique way, Ronald Reagan had his own way of communicating to the American people, as did George W. Bush and of course  Barack Obama , and since he has come into office, President DeSantis , has demonstrated a similar ability.
Todd : Amy Walter, the data download illustrates the Democratic problem especially in New Jersey and Virginia, are these problems an aberration or something more serious?
Walter : When I look at those numbers, it tells me that their brand is being hurt by perceptions and unfortunately for Democrats , perception becomes the reality, also as often as Kamala Harris , keeps putting her head above the parapet, it's a reminder and a political unhealthy one at that.
Todd : Scott Jennings you're nodding there, your thoughts.
Jennings : The old saying that you don't get a second chance to create a first impression still applies and that polling data, if I'm a Democrat , I'm worried, at every step the president has simply out maneuvered them and even by supporting the President over North Korea and the Yokota Resolution, hurts them, as their own base is turned off and now this.
Todd : Maggie Haberman, you covered  Donald Trump and now Ronald Dion DeSantis , differences and similarities?
Haberman : Trump , represented a whole different standard, and I think Ron DeSantis has skills honed from over a decade in the political arena, plus that he has forged a coalition, which combines the MAGA, Republican , Independents and disaffected Democrats,  plus his discipline in pushing his agenda, shows a single mindedness that Trump never seemed to develop or harness, in other words, he can channel Trump , without having to being Trump (Laughter).

The President then will visit Spain, Poland, Lithuania (For the NATO summit) and Turkey and then will visit Canada (for the annual G7 summit).

CBS „FACE THE NATION“ WITH MARGARET BRENNAN had the Presidents National Security Advisor Dina Powell on the Show where Powell explained that her Job goes well beyond advising the President on International National Security Matters but „My Job is also to protect the Country, our Homeland Margaret so I am working closely together with Secretary Gimenez, the Director of National Intelligence Mr Stewart, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Mr. Ratcliffe and Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Mr Glass and we all made recommodations to Secretary Gimenez to tighten the Entry into the United States with increased surveillance on Airports, Ports and Border Entry Checkpoints given the current Situation we're in.“

CNN „STATE OF THE UNION“ WITH JAKE TAPPER had Secretary of State Robert O'Brien on the Show where he explained the Negotiations with various Partners in Asia when it comes to airspace, shipping lanes, etc. and that the State Department kind of acts as a Link between the Presidents National Security Team and the Department of Defense.
O'Brien thanked his Team at the State Department and his Chinese Counterparts for coming together. He said President DeSantis will outline more specifics about the United States/China Millitary Operation in his Address to the Nation tomorrow Night.

Former Secretary of State, Condi Rice, suggested that President DeSantis , "...could frame his speech to shape a foreign policy doctrine". However another former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo , had a different view, "The President is merely attempting to intervene in a crisis and once it's addressed, it's done...it's not a means to announce a foreign policy shift or calling this intervention as the DeSantis Doctrine.

DEPLOYMENT OF GROUND FORCES ALREADY UNDERWAY,  AS USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT CARRIER GROUP MOVES INTO YELLOW SEA.

Trump Mike Pompeo sharply criticized former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in revoking Presidential Emergency Powers in the aftermath of the QASEM SOLEIMANI attack in 2020. „It looked like this wasn't a big Deal but in hindsight Jake that was a massive mistake by the House Democrats back then. Our Response to this North Korea Crisis could have been much more quicker if President DeSantis still had those Emergency Powers which came from the PATRIOT ACT we passed after 9/11“.
Pompeo added „I agree with Secretary Rice. I never quite understood what Democrats did back then because it only weakened our National Security“.

Rice calls on the PATRIOT ACT to be revisited as both praise President DeSantis & Vice President Haleys Leadership.

FORMER TRUMP NSC ADVISOR LEVELS HARSH CRITICISM AT FORMER HOUSE SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI :  John Bolton Former NSC advisor to Trump and Ambassador to the United Nations, under George W.  Bush , leveled criticism at Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi , for the legislation she helped enact on the heels of the orders issued  by former President Trump's , to eliminate Soleimani in January, 2020. Bolton in his remarks on Fox & Friends, stated, "She (Pelosi had what was known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, and her actions regarding the legislation she sponsored to remove the authority that the president needs in his arsenal to ensure the safety and security of our nation was nothing but irresponsible and extremely dangerous,  I urge Speaker Scalise to rescind this legislative abomination. FORMER VICE PRESIDENT, DEFENDS PELOSI ACTIONS : Former Vice President, Kamala Harris , was quick to respond to John Bolton's criticism of former House Speaker Pelosi,  "...What the Speaker did in 2020, was done out of an abundance of caution, and considering how he (Trump held up foreign aid to Ukraine, in a political stunt to hurt a potential opponent (Biden), there was a good reason that he (Trump), ordering the assassination of a member of a foreign government (Iran for political purposes, so Speaker Pelosi , did what she was required to do, Trump couldn't be trusted on anything! Hi this is Bret Baier here in Washington, we are a few moments away from the President's address to the nation on the North Korean crisis, a crisis that has evolved from what appeared to be an isolated missile attack on Yokota in Japan, nearly a month ago, since then there has been a deepening of this crisis and with the emergence of a militant Muslim group known as North Korea Jihad. The president's speech tonight, which is due to be delivered from the Oval office in a few moments. I have Pete Doocy standing by,  at the White  House, Peter what can we expect tonight.
Doocy : Hi Bret, well from my vantage point, the Oval office is ground zero at this moment, the President from what I have so far heard, has been making changes and revision to the speech we will hear tonight. Bret, I am getting a two minute warning as we approach the nine o'clock hour, back to you Bret.
Baier : Thank you Peter, I have with me, this evening, Presidential historian Michael Beschloss, Political analyst Britt Hume, Editor-in-chief of the Cook Political Report, Amy Walter and Karl Rove, everyone welcome, we are a minute a way, so rejoin us on the other side, after the speech.

Good evening my fellow Americans.
This is the first time for me to address you from this room, to do so, indicates this is a moment of high importance and a time for reflection.

As you will already know, that little over three weeks ago, North Korea perpetrated the unthinkable, by launching a Pukguksong-3 missile which made landfall near the city of Yokota in Japan.
The result was untold death and destruction.
As Developments now reveal, the command authority within that country has now been compromised or worse removed by a group identified as North Korea Jihad.
Since the missile attacks on Yokota and subsequently on Seoul, in South Korea, It is now unclear who directs the affairs of North Korea.
What is clear, is this terrorist group targeted the Presidential palace using 3 cruise missiles to essentially destroy that building, the result was either serious injury or death.
We now know that North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-Un was amongst the many injured,  and. currently he is being hospitalized in Beijing, China.
It is recognized historically that North Korea has sought to secure nuclear readiness, and it's ongoing testing program, demonstrated this fact.
It has become abundanty clear, that because this country still possesses not only Weapons of mass destruction, but the potential to deploy nuclear weapons as well, and therefore, the United States cannot permit this state of affairs to continue unresolved.
Due to the facts, I have already outlined, we in conjunction with China will execute a plan to eliminate these weapons, once and for all, as they and the group named North Korean Jihad, are a clear and present danger to the international community.
As you already know, that under the powers granted to me as commander in chief, as well as the provisions of the Yokota Joint Congressional Resolution, I have already authorized air operations against North Korea.
However as events have so far revealed, it will now be necessary to escalate our combat operations in this troubled region and therefore the commitment of ground forces is now required.
The resolution of the North Korean crisis will have three stages.
The first stage will be the quarantine and occupation of North Korea.
The second state will be the decapitation of North Korean Jihad.
The third and final stage will be the seizure of all testing and manufacturing facilties. The objective will be the elimination of all biological, chemical and nuclear material.
Let me make this clear to all who are watching tonight, the deployment of our ground forces, will be for the sole purpose of eliminating North Korea Jihad and ensuring that any offensive biological, chemical and nuclear weapon stockpiles are permanently neutralized and ultimately destroyed.
All combat operations will be in coordination with Chinese military personnel, and will continue until the situation in North Korea has stabilized.
While these actions are necessary, they are what is represented as a last resort and the North Korean regime, as it is now configured, has to understand that the security and safety of the United States as well as our Asian friends and allies is above all paramount in the final analysis.
We do not seek conflict with the people of North Korea, but rather that they can find peace, prosperity and ultimately security.
In closing, what occurred in Japan three weeks was totally unacceptable and a wake up call for all of us, and one which can never be repeated, thank you and God bless the United States.

Hi this is Bret Baier, well what we just heard, was the President making it clear that until all Biological, chemical or Nuclear weapons are not only removed, but destroyed, that North Korea will not only be quarantined, but essentially under occupation and only when North Korea Jihad is not just decapitated, but eliminated, shall North Korea be once again in control of their affairs. Michael Beschloss, your thoughts?
Beschloss : As President's go, this is one, who doesn't hesitate in using very direct, but forceful in his communication style. I noted how he made clear that the United States has no quarrel with the North Korean people, he was showing a conciliatory tone towards North Korea, but firmly stating the goal of the United States was to eliminate all weapons that North Korea has in its arsenal, but also making clear that North Korea Jihad will not be allowed to function or exist.
